Lund 1875 Pro V Bass ~ Built to Perform (video)

Today’s trip onto Lake Menderchuck included some rather sporty condition on the ride back to the ramp.

Thought I’d share it.

These are the days where I am quickly reminded of just how important having a super capable rig, as well as a powerful and dependable out board, really are to me.

Yikes!!  My tournament partner has the same boat.  We have been in some waves on Mille Lacs, but nothing like that.  Must be the great lakes with those waves.  I really like the boat.  It might be my next purchase.  Glad to see it can handle some of the crazy stuff.  Did you know it was going to be like that when you went out, or was this unexpected?

Yes we knew what was ahead of us but this is well within the rigs ability.

This clip is on the way back to the ramp and is mostly a following seas deal.

On the way out in the morning was considerably more challenging but the spray on the camera made the video un-useable.

Love my Lund Pro Guide, sweet video!

If I ever moved away from tiller steer, your boat would be the one I would get, for sure.

Why didn't the camera move with the boat? Some kind of fancy mount?

The Go Pro Hero 9 Black stabilization package combined with the Max video mod,

is over the top good at making me look like I can drive a boat ~

Had I not been a Lund owner, I might have been impressed by the boat and not the camera. ?

That’s awesome!   It is a great boat and you are more than capable of handling those waters.  Hope you got on some small jaws as well!

Nice. I'd still be on the way back to the ramp.

I’ve been on Mille Lacs in waves I shouldn’t have been more than once. Ain’t doing it again.

Menderchuck isn’t a “Great Lake” although I think he just refers to every lake he’s on by that name.

No matter what lake Andy fishes, he calls it 'Menderchuck'...just so no one can come and 'steal' his brown-bass.

That looks peaceful compared to a Saturday afternoon here on Tonka.  Worst is when you have wind like that AND 50'ers throwing monster wakes in different directions.  Did you try to take them a bit faster?  My 521 was much better at waves like that when I put the hammer down a bit.

The spray alone is higher than most of the water I fish ?

If I ever make the leap into a serious fishing rig, I think an 1875 would be what I wanted

Interesting perspective.

My personal boat handling skills and experience

comes from something a bit more 'next level'.

May be an image of body of water

You should try it once and report back.  I come out of the world of snowmobile, jet ski, and atv racing.  All of those powersports share one commonality.  The throttle is usually your friend.  At some point it creates trouble, but until then it is the easiest way to make things smoother.  Even my wife will tell you how much smoother our fishing boats have been when we throttle through.  I wasn't sure on the Pro Bass how it would handle as I haven't driven one and there are exceptions.  Our Malibu does worse and we have to go at the waves like you did.  Exactly why I asked.
