Those reels are SWEET!!!! There are a lot of mid 2000's reels that will hang with the new reels all day. Steez, Fuego, Zillion, Cores, Chronarch D series, Curado D series, etc.

Jbsoonersfan, I do have the OG Fuego Casting and spinning reel. Also the Chronarch D and Curado D.

I did catch a couple bass on the OG Zillion Coastal and M1 Vortex. 1st bass on a 3/4oz Cotton Cordell Pencil. 2nd bass on a Berkley 75 Choppo. Not big bass but fun any way you chop it! The Zillion Coastal is sooooo smmoooottthhhh....

I've got several OG Zillions, an OG Fuego, a Sol, a couple of Alphas, and Curado D's and E's still in my lineup. Those reels work just as well now as they did then if taken care of. Love that Coastal! I never had one of those.

When Daiwa took that platform and added the SV spool the SV103 became my favorite reel.  Why they dropped that model and the 105 is beyond me. Then came Tatula.  Sweet coastal!

what does OG stand for?

nice combo!

The original meaning of OG is original gangster. These days in this context it just means the original or first in a line of something.

Those reell grips are definitelly a blast from the past.

I thought it meant OriGinal.  Learn something new every day.

Picked up two OG JDM Daiwa Fuegos today from another forum. Can’t wait to get them in!
