are you rubbing your soft plastics to dull them?

Featured Replies

I'm beginning to believe fish "prefer a chewed up worm" because they're already on it before it got chewed up.

I don't rub my plastics to dull them...........However, I talk to all of my lures.  Kinda like a pep talk.

If a soft bait is salted, I rub it a bit.

If he keeps up there will be no secrets left but there will still be plenty of bass left. ?

I usually do the opposite of what Randy does. He's the Skip Bayless of Youtube fishing channels. Just says outlandish stuff to get people talking.

If you stand in front of a mirror and say Live Scope three times, Randy Blaukat will appear and Judy chop you.

I’ve never used a fishfinder, depth finder, live scope etc to know what any of it is/does to have any sort of opinion on any of that stuff. I’m sure everything has its place, I’ve just never been able to afford any of that unfortunately, so I don’t even really know what his opinion about it means.

my zoom worms, i rub  to get the grit up.   am i wasting my time?

The only person I hear ranting about it is Raggy blanket, he has some wrong ideas, one of the worst ones he has made is said there are too many people on earth,  which leads to pretty evil solutions..... I just hope he doesn't think I'm one of the people on his earth that are overpopulating it....

Nonetheless I tried it a few times with trick worms and didn't see any noticeable difference, but take it with a grain of salt and try it out yourself... dont throw the baby out with the bathwater just because Randy says some things that are controversial... to say the very least... he occasionally has a few decent prieces of information.

i use a silicon tube to wacky my senkos.  i dont use the clamp, but just thread the worm on.  as it slides on, it plows the salt up and really dulls and lightens the worm.  bass kill it.  when i tex rig them, i try to rub them, but my soft office worker fingers dont do the same job. :)

So take 2 stick  worms, dingers are perfect for this btw.  Now pull and rub one till you feel rough it up, dull it,  whatever you want to call it.  Now hold both worms horizontal  in the same spot. Look at the difference of the two worms as one that is new is stiffer then the one you roughed up. This will give your stick worm more action as it sinks and is wacky rigged.

Speaking of...?‍♂️ I don't even know where to start with this. Besides the pure stupidity of it all, the 15 treble hooks just maaay be against the law in most states.

Don't think I've ever messaged my soft plastics but I've been known to pull on elaztech. ?

I use an obscene amount of Z-Man plastics, and long before Uncle Randy mentioned it I was already stretching out all my worms, ned baits etc. before I fish them except for the low/no salt Z-Man baits.

Reason I do it is so I can get the Baitfuel to marinate inside the bait and I do think they look better roughed up. Rage Bugs, Spark Shads, etc. not a chance, they're too fragile as it is.

You would need a line thrower to cast it.
