Storing Dyed Plastics In Plano Stowaways......??

Featured Replies

Will the Plano Stowaways be susceptible (bleeding) to JJ's Magic dyes if dyed plastics are stored in them? I've searched and drew a bank.

I use Spike it. & put  the baits in Plano 3700 boxes & don't have any problem.

The JJ's will stain the Plano boxes.

Dye continues to spread in soft plastics onto other soft plastics they touch.

Put the dyed plastic in a separate zip lock bag.

I'm with Tom...I'll put dyed baits in a separate bag.  I've got some ziplock 'snack' bags that aren't as tall as the standard bags and work well for this.

Another use for these: I use 'em to keep Zman rigged products separate from "normal" plastics in spinnerbait/chatterbait Plano boxes to avoid adverse reactions between the two.

Never put an original methylate color plastic in with other plastics as it will bleed onto the others. I now have pinkish flukes that were originally white.
