This one very good, working with pressure if a person submerge in water, also manual.

I’ve got the Mustang HIT too, no complaints. Have an older foam pfd I like when it’s cold out, adds a good bit of warmth and cushion for the back in the canoe.

As mentioned above. Mustang vest and jackets are good choices. I use the 100mph survival and the Elite hydrostatic.

I have a mustang MIT 100. It doesn’t matter what you have if you don’t wear it!

Ive got this one…  It’s not hydrostatic, works when it gets wet, pretty reasonable too.

The NRS Chinook is the best PFD I have ever used. I can't even tell I am wearing it. I don't really like the Mustang kind, prefer something low maintenance and simple, although the mustangs are comfy.

Y'all are probably used to my dumb questions by now.  How much water does it take to deploy one of the Mustangs?   They wouldn't go off in a really damp locker, or during really hard rain would they?

The Mustang Hydrostatic Inflator Technology (HIT) offers reliable inflation in a low maintenance design that will only automatically inflate when submerged in 4'' or more of water pressure and not inadvertently due to rain, spray or humidity. Exclusive to Mustang Survival in North America and maintenance-free for 5 years from the date of manufacture or until inflated. It also features the patented SecureZip™ closure system to ensure the PFD will stay closed during even the most rigorous activity and still opens effortlessly upon inflation. This lightweight and comfortable PFD can be worn over a t-shirt on warm days or over thicker garments in colder conditions. It is low profile and allows for maximum mobility.

Get one.

+1 for Mustang HIT. Had a full bodied Mustang similar to what John Crews uses but found it rode up too much.
