It's more like my hand. That bait thumps like crazy but you're right, when fish hit this bait, they destroy it.

Yeah, I have some similar with a big Indiana, they don't tickle it, I usually need to reach in there to get it back.

I sell a bunch of bream/bluegill/panfish colored baits.   Few examples of the colors on jigs.

Any color will do as long as it's white.

There needs to be more green pumpkin with gold / silver combo blades offered for waters where blue gill are dominant . Most stores who even offer a Green Pumpkin spinnerbait offer very few versus White or White / Chartreuse.

Some years back there was a hot spinnerbait bite going in the spring just like every spring . After a few weeks the bass weaned off spinnerbaits . Still, everybody were  throwing these bright chartreuse lures . I switched to slightly smaller blades and a duller bait-fish colored skirts and the bass responded positively . Been doing so ever since . Still use the bright lures early in the season.

Green pumpkin colored spinnerbaits....those will never work ?

The number one selling color of spinnerbaits is white and chartreuse and they work, but pretty much ever bass out there has seen one. I've had a lot of success on spinnerbaits and have always thrown a ton of colors, green pumpkin and other panfish imitating colors included.
