  • Sure!! When I fish on top it’s weightless of course rigged with the cut pointed down. This gives the maximum displacement and action when skimming.    When swimming I use a 5/0 Trokar hook

I've had COVID for the past week, so I only managed to get out for about an hour on Sunday, but I managed to catch a handful on a dropshot and a little 3/16 oz swimbait head. Works just as well as a keitech on a ballhead, but using 6th Sense Divine Swimmers with their swimbait head, with the screwlock, means *WAY* more fish per bait.

Can't stop catching on the owner flashy swimmer, even though I keep trying to find something else they will eat regularly. Even a swimjig with a blade on it isn't producing when the flashy swimmer is. /shrug

What's fascinating to me is that I can't get a fish to even look at an underspin right now, lol.

I'm glad I'm not alone, lol. While I'm not 0, I'm d**n near - maybe 5 total.

Spinnerbait in a pond . Thats all the fishing I've done so far .

River fish here have been chasing pretty good and jerkbaits been best.  A regular fluke on a jighead drifted close to bottom is also working for less active biters.

Literally yesterday, nice 3.2 on a 1/2oz Berkley Power Blade, 5" Googan Dart trailer in natural. Conditions were overcast, mid-50s with about 13-15mph wind, crystal clear water, drainage pond with max depth of 4-5 feet. Not sure how it acquired the wound.

Went yesterday for the first time . Caught thirteen , two keepers with spinnerbaits in wood.

The Zman TicklerZ in Smelt is my go to this time or most any other times of year.  Caught gobs of little ones on it Sunday. Don't catch a lot of big ones but it always produces.

I have been doing great here in OR (Columbia river) for the past 2 weeks with a 1/2oz jackhammer stealthblade with a paddletail trailer in a shad color. Water temp has been 45-48F and the fish have been in 6-8' of water.  Got my PB smallmouth this past weekend on this.

A Rage Swimmer with a weighted shaft hook and a Golden Shiner lipless crankbait have been my best lures, BUT DO NOT FOLLOW my lead as I've only caught 12 bass in three trips. I've encountered ice at two of the three ponds I've fished and the bass I caught are literally chilled. I was chilled the last time too!

We're transitioning here in central IN towards spawn. Moving baits are giving way to topwaters and sight fishing finesse plastics. Buck bass are replacing the big females for the time being. (Maybe I'll get lucky and catch one that's a buck and a half).

Took the big boat out for the first time yesterday . Caught 10 bass . The first five were over 15 inches with three over three. The next five were under . All on spinnerbait. Water temp 59 to 65.

If I caught 12 bass in three trips I'd be taking out full page ads to tell people about it.

Drop. Shot. No wind, crystal clear water, slightly overcast and 68 degrees. Fish skinny from spawn, one assumes. 4.3 lbs

plastic worm/craws...............great conditions...spawn is pretty much done so the bigger ones are moving offshore and nailing my offerings........when I get to go.....

Bass are moving shallow. Water temp in the mid to high 50's. Water 12 to 15 inches visibility. Spinnerbaits up the creeks on wood is killing it .

I have no idea what's going on at ray bob right now but it's completely shut off for me again since bass spawn. we're in early shad spawn I think, but I haven't been able to get a bass to take a lure since the middle of last week. very frustrating to be chased by a school of shad but not have any bass be interested.

I went yesterday following a hugely successful  trip a week ago . Had it all planned out . Well, the crappie bite is on and every single  spot, 100%  had multiple boats sitting on them . I gave the crappie anglers the same courtesy I like to receive and   managed only  three bass, with a three lber on spinnerbait .

That’s better than I’ve done with a spinnerbait in 30 years

Black Shaky head and jig on points and flats in about 5-8' depth.
