Haven't used livetarget baits, but savage gear has similarly priced swimbaits that have caught for me.  The 6" is light enough for a heavy jig rod, but the 8" definitely needs a swimbait set up.

The 7.5” is over 3 oz. I don’t think it’s a good idea for a ML.

It won't cast the bait or set the hook.

I have tried them - even after boiling them amd drilling holes through it to try and give it more action it was hot garbage.

Would not recommend at all.

What did you use instead

Hudds and Savage Gear but predominantly Hudd 68's.

that is not enough rod.  i've done miracles with a below sized rod, but it took major body-english to deli....

nevermind.  this was going sideways quick.  :D

I just read this part and...whoa there...there are very few single hook applications for bass where a ML rod will work. You need to upsize your rod before you start thinking about new baits to try.

The Savage Gear line thru trouts are very nice and affordable. They're also more durable and more readily available than Hudds.

That won't do you any good without the right equipment though.

The 6'6" ML Fierce combo is rated 1/16-5/8 oz, that swimbait weighs 3.25 oz, over 5 times the max weight rating of your rod. You can usually exceed the rating a bit, especially with softer lob casts, but that sort of excess is a nonstarter on your current tackle.

As others have said, there are better options for the money than LiveTarget, but it won't be any use without a setup that can handle it.
