OMG!  Standing on the side of the boat to pee is a recipe for disaster.  It's not the alligators I'm worried about, it's getting wet and having to crawl back in the boat by myself.  Thank God my Ranger came with a ladder on the back.  So far I haven't had to use it. When you're fishing alone you have be be extra cautious.  A good friend of mine fell off a dock and hit his head when no one was around.  He would have drowned if his wife didn't happen to check on him at the right time.  I need to hire a fishing assistant.   ?

She did it, two bass, she fish all day non stop, first she got a 1 ponder on weighted wackey senko around 5PM, And second one on ned rig 1/16oz nan2lber. It was her first day and first time. I slept 3 hours mid day but she stand under son and cast after cast non stop and it was great day for her. Also she got two catfish

I have to wonder, if my wife started fishing, would the Bait Monkey be allowed back in the house?

My wife fished a bit before she met me, but doesn't really enjoy it.  I don't even invite her along anymore.  And that's fine.  

 

As with any casual angler, the key is to go at their own pace.  Don't try to fish your normal way and get super involved.  Just let them set their own level of involvement and have fun.  You can't make someone enjoy something, but you can set up the circumstances so that they have the option to enjoy it.  From there, it's up to them.
