Hello and welcome to the forum.

Welcome! What else do you often catch besides bass? It is my understanding that some of the coastal areas get a nice striper migration at some point in the year—perhaps I’m not correct, but I saw a video of a guy catching one in Boston harbor.

Yes, they're here now.  I caught a nice 6 pound schoolie behind my house.  I'd like to catch a keeper+ on my kayak.

It would feel like you’re in “The Old Man and the Sea, with that thing towing you.”

Thank you everyone for the warm welcome.  I live in Fairfield County...southwester CT for those that don't know CT.

Yes Norwalk has some of the finest Striper fishing in the world, so I'm told.  I've caught plenty of them, blues, porgies, sea robins and dogfish.  I prefer freshwater though and frequent a corporately owned reservoir that requires an extra pass.  Clean and clear.

Hope all of you catch some hogs this year!
