Featured Replies

Around 8 years ago I stopped fishing for health reasons.  I'm now thinking about taking the sport up again.

I used to fish from the banks of a local quarry and pond.

I have too many nice rods and reels for bank fishing, so rather than looking for new rods & reels, I intend to learn about new techniques that have gained popularity since I last went fishing.

Cheers!

Leon, there's nothing wrong with using a nice outfit when bank fishing. In fact, it's preferable.

Welcome to the forum. Leon some of us fish $100+ lures in ponds. Nice gear works great everywhere.

That's a bit rich for my blood since I lose several lure each outing😄

Agreed, there's a special pleasure in using a smooth reel and sensitive rod, even when I get skunked.
