Gonna be buying a few pairs of decent sunglasses for bushwhacking and river fishing. Looking for something a little better than the $5 walmart options but because of the nature of what ill be doing don't want alot invested. Anybody have any experience with these?

I’ve had very good luck with Kastking sunglasses. I have a couple pairs of the  Iditarods, one for work, one for home. They’re light weight and very comfortable. They come with a hard case and microfiber cloth bag.

Thanks for the response...I'm gonna pull the trigger on a couple pairs of the flatrocks.

I've got some. They are fine. I like that they come with case. Like any other brand, the fit matters and everyone has a different head so that will be unique to you..I find if I wear them 4+ hours they push on the top of my ears a little. I have a big head

I have an average size head so we will see how they fit. Worst case scenario I've only got $55 invested in the 2 pairs and ill just give them to my buddies if I don't like them.

I bought a pair on Amazon after reading this thread. They're decent. Will be good to throw on the boat and use when I forget my daily wearers.

My thoughts for bank walking and river\creek fishing -if I take a spill and lose my glasses they aren't my $200 Costas. Those are reserved for driving and boat duty.

I see that KK has polarized readers.  If anyone getting the bifocals, please post a review later.  I've been hunting for perfect polarized readers for years.

I find they last about 1 fishing season before the coating starts to flake off, I'm on my third pair of Skidaways. But for ~$25, that's fine with me. Better than buying $200 expensive sunglasses and cracking/losing/scratching them in 1 season.

I'm pretty much there, too.  I'd just as soon find really good one year sunglasses for under $40, than great ones north of $100.

 

    My favorites were from a local kiosk...$40, came with lifetime warranty; paid the ten dollar warranty fee each year and exchanged them for new pair.   Unfortunately,  the kiosk gal moved to FL...not sure how to execute the lifetime warranty anymore.

I’ve bought gear from Chris Stewart for several years now without issues and he regularly has Costas around $100. They are just discontinued models or maybe not the most popular models. But not bad for a backup pair

That's kinda my feelings as well. I have a few pairs of the strike king S11 glasses and they last about a year...they run $35-$40 so I'm not mad at it. But the kastkings at $25 are a little more budget friendly. Ill pocket the extra $15 a pair and put it towards a bottle of whiskey!

I had a charter a few years ago wearing fishing bifocals.  Smith Optics.  I've had a pair ever since.  Man O man were they worth it.

I must be mistaken, I thought for sure kastking was or is a sponsor

They were back in 2018.  6 years ago.

Was way before my time. They have no attachment to Bassresource anymore and I had nothing to do with that sponsorship back in 2018.

I have a pair, that are pretty decent. 

I ordered 2 pairs of the flatrocks off Amazon and received them Monday. They are nice for $25 and fit my head just right. If they hold up for a year ill consider it money well spent.
