Your Favourite Worm Rigging

Featured Replies

Ned rig, flickshake, dropshot. As far as why it's because the popular tournament lakes I fish around central Florida get pounded harder than a cube steak in a southern diner.

Right now we can’t get any fish on plastics and we have tried lots of techniques.  If it isn’t a jig or swim bait there doesn’t seem to be a reason to go.

T rig

4"-6" weightless/weedless Stick Bait. I've caught most of my bass on them this year despite using many other lures. On calm or light wind days they are hard to beat. Just caught a 14" bass on one this morning.

Texas rig and Carolina rig a toss up for me.as far as favorite goes it depends on how they’re eatn’em. I can change my mind in a heartbeat

Always a shaky head on deck or in my hands, effective whether fishing shallow or deep, around cover or on flats, at the base of cypress trees or anyplace other than featureless deep muck. 😀👍

1/16 or 1/8 oz bullet weight, Gamakatsu 4/0 EWG and a Zoom Trick, Rage Craw  or 5” Senko.

Split shot for me has become my favorite. Before that, it was a weightless Texas rig, which of course still sees action. The split shot I can throw on my baitcaster, while the weightless Texas rig is normally a spinning rod proposition.

I can throw the heavier worms with casting rods, even down to a Zoom 6" lizard.

Right now, my favorite worm is a Berkley Power Worm in watermelon, followed by a Zoom Finess in either watermelon red or green pumpkin.

That's easy.  Either weightless or on a split shot rig. The bass around here see a ton of wacky rigs, and Texas rigs.  They don't see a lot of split shot rigs with a plastic worm on the end.
