Figure I better brag before I start an ugly streak of 800pt derbies 😆   Ironic that my favorite angler was the only pick not in the top 10.  Oh well, still love ya Johnny.

  • Met Brandon Cobb at the event yesterday and I wanted so bad to tell him he screwed me over on my fantasy team and I was never going to pick him again but I sucked it up and took a pic with him when he

Heads up -- St. Clair is 7 days away.

I only know this because I got the email from Rapala about my prize package from the Sabine event: $50 store credit online + a %30 off coupon.

And I thought, "hey, isn't it about time for the next one?". And sure enough --one week away.

Subject to change:

Taku

Easton

BP

Dube

Gustafson

Bucket A was tough. It feels like a Taku win here.

I put some picks in.

Bassmaster is showing that I'm in the 95.6% percentile for the season overall.

Try not to worry too much, but I'm right on your tail at 60.5%.

Welp... for some reason, I stopped using the Trey McKinney cheat code for this tourney. Poor choice to bet against him. *sighs

Trey McKinney gets it done, wire to wire. What an impressive win. In a lake that's just chuck full of 3 to 4 pounders and everyone is getting a limit, some of these guys managed to pull away from the field with some mega bags.

We've got 10ish days til the Mississippi River event. This is the final event of the year, so make it a good one. Here's our top 5 going into this last event.

I didn't do so well for St Clair.

Actually looking forward to LaCrosse.  Water levels should be good too.

Friendly reminder - final event of the year kicks off this week. Get your picks in by Wednesday night.

Lotta picks coming in on the scope wizards for smallmouth but what you may not realize is that this venue is very diverse and largemouth in the countless backwaters, sloughs, and tributaries will likely play a big role.  You will see a lot of old school frogging and slop fishing.

The smallmouth there are very tough to find and often move.

The largemouth factor will be the great equalizer against technology.  This very same aspect just played out in a Bassmaster Open on Leech Lake in Walker, MN.  Smallmouth were caught offshore on ultra finesse tactics while live scoping, but the winner caught largies in the jungle.

This will be a shallow water tournament, frogs and topwater on pads and mats will play a big role.  This will be a fantastic event to watch on TV.

Last day of the season to make picks. Don't miss out now.

I had fun playing with you all this year -- it's going down to the wire! It'll be interesting to see who wins AOY, too.

Good luck!
