Break down rods?

Featured Replies

For spinning gear, I'm using a Abu Garcia Vendetta, 7' 2 piece, MF. I think it's really versatile and won't break the bank. I like it so much that I have 3 of them.

Whatever you choose, consider a rod tube or a protective case. I used an Apache 9800 rifle case and modified it to suit my needs. It's a tank but will protect whatever rods you choose.

Lot's of good reviews of the Aird-X line on Bass Resource.

Considering that I still have two Aird-X rods in my lineup next to the Victorys and Mojo Bass'....I'll double down on that - Aird-X is an excellent rod and fishes way above it's price-point. Just note that they are not true Fasts in my experience...more of an MF-F - my 7'0" Aird-X MH/F is an excellent spinner/chatter rod.

I haven't found a 2-piece casting rod yet. I have been making do with my 2 piece zebco casting rod. I don't hate it, but I'd rather have a bit longer rod as it's 5'6" before a handle extension. I guess it's probably 6' now.

I have 3 Diawa Ardito travel rods.  They are excellent.  I use them every time I go bass fishing.
