my wife wanted me to go to a dinner party with her last evening.  so I went.  it was a pot luck, so I made a meatball and spaghetti thing.   so happy, because the only other thing to eat was a quinoa salad and some rolled carrot cake thing.  seriously?  nevertheless, my wife was super happy I went, and not only for my spagetti&meatballs.  I had fun.  lots of laughs, and jokes.  met a friends new firefighter boyfriend.  cool dude.

trouble is, now I won't wake up - or be able to wake up to hit Saturday fishing.  Golden State warriors were struggling to put the series to bed.  excitement was in the air.

I'll fish tomorrow.  should be better weather.  for me, fishing is my thing.  I dont want to use "passion"..but close.  out on the water my stresses evaporate, and I get reconnected with my happy version of myself.  haha..one of the reasons I quit fishing with my selfish fishing partners.

it isn't difficult remembering to put my wife FIRST in my life.  I initially said to her, "no I cant go with you, because I have to wake up super early the next morning to go fishing"....  she agreed, but her face told the real story.    I called her and said, I was making spaghetti and meatballs for the dinner party.  she was gleeful.  hahah..

might be the right time to ask her if I should buy a kayak trailer....hahahha...I am JOKING!!!  JOKING.    I had a blast last night.  the fish will be there tomorrow.  win-win.   pretty awkward when the hostess of the party asked me to introduce her to some of my male coworkers.  I'm a civil engineer.  no shortage of dudes. :D  (I changed the subject)

I feel ya. We’re going to a Billy Idol/Joan Jett concert tonight and I thought if I got up early and fished all morning, I’d likely be ready for zzzzz’s come show time. Woke up this morning and it’s gorgeous out. Oh, well!

Sleeping in for me is 5am. I’m usually up at 3-3:30 every single day.

enjoy your time with your wife. Family first.

Saw JJ with Elle King and Heart in 2019, but first for Billy Idol.

After the wicked weather in Texas during the week, today is one of those days that makes you glad you’re alive. It’s absolutely fantastic out.

No fishing, but I did get to wash and vacuum my car out. Last payment on 05/31 and then all car/truck payments are done. Just think of all the extra Bait Monkey coin! 😂

I hear ya.  Certain things just have to be done in life as a priority, whether you really want to do them or not.

I with ya! I wanted to go out today but the Wife is off work and has errands to run, banking, groceries, pet food store,,,,,,,with me at her side.

I could have begged off but then thought, she’s fighting cancer and every minute with her is one I may never get again.
We have fun together !!

Yeah I hugged my boat Saturday and told her that I’m not fooling around with the lawnmower, it’s just business that I have to attend to.

And so the honeydo season begins. Wife wants walkways around the cars because her heels get muddy after a rain(I call it just living in the country) and she doesn't want gravel so eventually I will be laying pavers across the whole thing I'm sure.
