Picasso Titanium Spinnerbait.

Featured Replies

If its half as good as their Rhino shakey head it will be a sure winner. Picasso makes great stuff!

They are a great spinnerbait in open water or grass, absolutely terrible in brush.

Those jointed heads hook brush hard, and don’t come out.

Looks like a swing head to me that should work through brush OK.

Tom

They dig in pretty hard - I can give GPS coordinates to 2 of them in the river end at Alamo.

The design is solid - once that hook loads up, it’s not shaking loose - which is great for fish, bad for salt cedars.

I like titanium. Curious to see what people think of this.

Bought 2 last night.

I'll be trying out the Dobyns spinnerbait any day now, if I remember I'll try to share my thoughts.

Don’t like the idea of a $17 spinnerbait. Especially one that has a swinging hook.

I like titanium but back in the day I had 2 (only 2) that didn’t run right and you can’t really tune them like stainless wire. But I had many that ran great and I do like them. Light stainless vibrates about as good in my opinion.

Picasso Jigs have always been killer good, they use to have a model with a polymer head covering, owner cutting point hook and living rubber skirts.
Then I ran out and started using SK jigs with Gamakatsu hooks..

Titanium is even more expensive now than in the past. (Everything is) However if you want it you gotta pay to play..

I thought $17 was a reasonable price. Cheaper than a T1 off ebay.

I also like the swing head, as it would allow the body to run horizontal rather than at an angle like most spinnerbaits.

You should like the Dobyns - they are absolute warriors. This one has almost 2 years and a lot of fish on it, and isn’t any worse for the wear.IMG_5761.jpeg.6ddd2dbd0dc90e07348ae97f8a114bc7.jpeg

Yes I’m sure Terminators are bank on EBay. They’re plenty of scalpers on there. Especially on hard baits. I have sold some astronomy gear on there and the amount EBay gets from sellers is why in many cases, the prices are high & even ridiculous.. (but not always)

Not every seller is scalping but a lot are and that includes international sellers..

I’m curious. Seems like most spinnerbait enthusiasts love the terminator T1s. Why hasn’t another brand come out with a direct replacement for them? A standard style spinnerbait with a titanium arm. Obviously it would cost more but people are willing to drop $25 on a vision 110 or $20 on a Jack.hammer I think there’s a great opportunity for a brand to come along and made a bunch of money.

Most?  Ok. I guess I'm in the "minority", because I don't like them at all, and I'm a HUGE spinnerbaiter.  I mean, I always throw a spinnerbait at some point with every outing.

My favorite spinnerbait is Hank Parker's Classic, which you can still get on his website.  An .038 wire it 100% better than a thick titanium wire.  Yup, it breaks eventually, but to make a comparison: if you don't want a Senko to tear, then throw a stick.  Sure it will last forever, but they're not the same.

@10,000 lakes Bassin,

Tackle Warehouse has these titanium spinnerbaits:

1)  Molix Lover Titanium Double Willow Spinnerbait

2)  Omega Genesis Ti Double Willow Spinnerbait

3)  Omega Genesis Ti Colorado Willow Spinnerbait

4)  Omega Genesis Ti Double Colorado Spinnerbait

“Eventually” happens a lot quicker when you’re dealing with countless pike. A 17” hammer handle will wreck a regular bait single-handedly. And unlike a senko a spinnerbait has alot of drawing power and any pike in a 20 mile radius will see one swimming past. Some lakes I fish I’ll catch pike 3-1 over bass.
I’m not saying that anything is wrong with a standard spinnerbait but it just isn’t idea for some of us.

Thanks, I wasn't aware of the Molix.

True.

Still got a few of those T1s left from many years ago myself.  Rapala bought Terminator and discontinued them.

The pack of teeth are relentless.  That's what was so great about the original terminator: durability.
