Japan Tackle

I am trying to buy a shimano bantam 22 from tackle Japan, but it doesn’t have a photo of the reel. I am wondering if anyone has experience ordering from them and if they are legit and the reels are in good condition

What's the website? I'll need more details.

Don’t know if you’ll find same pricing but Digitaka is a 💯% legit and a good experience.

Japan Tackle is legit, Jun Sonoda has been in business for a very long time and always happy to answer any questions I’ve had regarding JDM tackle.

I bought my Smith Dagger Stream trout telescope baitfinesse from Tackle Japan.

Their logo has Japan flag, and they're a big Rakuten seller, and I believe he also sold my first Takamiya rockfish rods 15 years ago.

Google won't give me a current link, if OP can help us out maybe with an item listing - tacklejapan.com comes up 403.

Not the same as Jun and Kayo at Japan Tackle.

Maybe this thing is on.

I've purchased a few reels from Japantackle.com over the years.  They are legit.  Jun Sonoda is the owner.  Shipping is quick and communication is excellent.

Japan tackle is legit like you said. Jun is also a great guy and offers a 6 year warranty on reels. He’ll also facilitate the factory warranty in Japan if you ever need to use it.

I’ve never heard of tacklejapan.com though.

I used to order from japantackle all the time. But ever since covid, he removed small packet airmail which was a pretty cheapo way of shipping, and now the only shipping option is through DHL, which is way overpriced. Haven't ordered a single thing since the change in ~2021.

I ordered some dress up parts and a spool from Jun a couple-three months ago and sent him an email asking him if he’d mind shipping my order FedEx and he replied with “absolutely no problem at all, I will send it FedEx “ and he did. I can post a screenshot of the email if it were needed..

I used tacklejapan years ago for a rod.  They had higher prices than other Japanese sites but had stock of a rod I wanted.  I'm told it's the english store front for Proshop K.  I don't know if it's still in operation or a dead website or some scam service took the domain name.  They haven't been relevant for US buyers in 10 years.  Here is their Japanese site.
