I'm not super computer savy but it seems that now when I post a YouTube video, the thumbnail doesn't display. What does display is a black scree twith "error 153, video player configuration error". 

 

 

Does anyone know how to correct this and get the thumbnails to display? Thanks!

No clue either.

I've got a few hundred videos posted in this forum.

Despite all initially loading here correctly,

each and every one has gone to a black screen.

We should ask @Glenn

His videos seem to be unaffected by the black screen issue.

I sent Glenn a message about this. Hopefully he can get it resolved.

It's a Youtube issue.  Just go back and edit your post, delete the video, get a NEW link from Youtube via the "share" feature (not the URL in your browser), and post that.  Be sure to hit "enter" before clicking the "submit" button.

No joy. From the edit window,there isn't a "submit" button. There is only an "Edit"  button, which I'm assuming is what you mean. I'm not sure where I need to hit" enter" before I  hit the "Edit" button.

 

I'm not the sharpest tack in the box when it comes to these things but I've tried this about a dozen variations and still can't get it...😃

Anyone else try this and succeed? I'm not sure what I'm doing incorrectly.

I have attempted this multiple times, but it has not proven effective for me.

Another option is to simply add just the link to the video so your post doesn't appear so disjointed.

Paste the link and hit "enter".  That will display the embedded video.

 

It's not foolproof.  It's an issue with Youtube that I cannot solve.

Nothing seems to work for me.

I’ve often wondered if mine show the thumbnail on everyone else’s end . I can see it on my phone but don’t know what yall see……. Maybe you can help me out, does this one show thumbnail of my precious hound trying to hunt while he’s laying down ?

 

 

I might as well piggyback on this existing topic. I have tried several times to post a picture. I get and error message. It's not too big, it's a different error message.

 

Edit: for some reason the photo wouldn't load when I saved his picture from a text. He sent another and now it's working..

I'm  not sure as the first was from his granddaddy and one from tge kid directly.

I'm curious if any of my videos are displaying correctly (thumbnail) to others? When I post them on FB they display correctly.

 

@Crow Horse, recently I see the black screen on the videos you’ve posted. I don’t have a computer, maybe that’s the difference

RUSS SOLVED IT!!!

Not so much.

YouTube changed the PFP player permissions.  Revolves around advertising and $$$$.

This is the new normal.

Find wherever it has the word share and an arrow icon. Click copy link. For a jays video I actually copied the URL from the bottom search bar because copy link was not an option . Just try a few and it always works for me
