Worst thing I’ve eaten is takuan, Japanese pickled daikon. I’m a pretty adventurous eater and I like most pickles but these were really bad.   Already posted this in the pictures thread but

Caught my first entry today not what I was looking for but at least I’m on the board. 4.75 divided by 8.5 x 100 =55.88.

@Dwight Hottle

You have to state the one food you won't eat again even if a gun is put to your head lol

  • Super User

I already did. Look back for my comment about cottage cheese.

A-Jay- I’m predicting you to top out at 66% on smallies this year. That’s a 6.62. Well within the upper max of your annual catch rates. And I’m predicting Dwight to top you. The 8.5# denominator for a PA smallie means that a 5.6# fish will get you. I’m pretty confident Dwight can manage that a couple times over this year.

So we're making predictions now ?

You NJ guys are a hoot.

While I'm not that excited about the restrictions you're setting for me,

I absolutely appreciate the motivation.

ha! I'm predicting you're going to catch an upper 6's bass! That's a great prediction!

You are right.

That is a great bass.

One I'd be very happy to slip the net under.

But how about a 5 fish bag of 6's ?

Now that's a prediction !

Late to the game, but count me in.

Watermelon. (( don't judge me! ))

"The Nebraska state record largemouth bass weighs 10 pounds, 11 ounces"

Hope to get on the board tomorrow.

I'd love to see it! Have you done it before?

But only the biggest one counts here so...

Managed a couple of 27's a 28 and a 29 but

'The Dirty 30' has eluded me so far.

And unless I catch a SMB that surpasses the almost 10 lb MI State

or the current ( I don't believe it) World Record,

I'm never 'winning' this deal.

But it's a blast launching every trip and giving it the old college try.

Of course, I've never actually been to college.

So I might not be doing it right.

Looks like we got a couple of clubhouse leaders here on both species.

Bigger fish than previous submission but just below the percentage because of the location caught. This fish was 6.5 / 10.15 the Ontario Canada record equals 64.039.

I was able to increase my percentage score by a little today.

This one went 5.77 / 9.98 gives me 57.8 -

Not earth-shattering by any means, but at least I'm still headed in the right direction.

Made another little upgrade today.

She went 5.99 lb / 9.98 lb gets me into the 60 point club.

And I had a blast getting there !

I think I'm starting to get the hang of this . . .

Well all I can say is welcome to the 60 point club. And the race tightens but be aware I have an ace up my sleeve.

Thanks.

And you always do.

Chances of victory for me here

are, let's be honest, slim.

But I'm not going down easy.

Due to the recent lack of site availability—

Any and all state vs. state entries caught within the thread rules—but during the downtime,

will be accepted as valid.

So the one-week time frame to post a catch here has been adjusted for these particular circumstances only.

I might even have one myself . . .

Managed to add a bit to my last entry ~

She went 6.15 / 9.98 gets me 61.6 ~

I'll take any and all upgrades I can get.

One brown bass at a time.

Especially when competing against all you scary good sticks.

I caught a prespawn smallmouth on 5/16/26 that was 5 pounds, 4 ounces.

If my math is correct, that's 5.25/8 =0.656 x 100 = 65.6

I have a slight built in advantage being that our state record is only 8.0 pounds...and it's sketchy at best.

Nice Brown Bass -

I am jealous of that weather, as I need to be in a snowsuit to get any good ones.

You should just go ahead and establish a new state record yourself.

Just to put an end to all this madness once and for all.

Congrats.

Thanks

If I could find a 6 pounder like yours then I REALLY might have a winner here!

I'm continuing my state advantage in IL and an almost dishonorable mention for MI.

Chgo smallie from this morning which I'm very happy to have landed, but I lost a beast about an hour before, a definite pb and possible thread ender:

5.75lb / 7.19 x 100 = 79.97

Inland MI largie on 5/4:

5.75 / 11.94 x 100 = 48.16
