This is very neat and organized @Glenn. Lots of nice touches. Other than the <Menu> button not working after entering the forum per @Tennessee Boy, I haven't encountered any issues.

And yes, the menu button issue has already been documented, plus the top search function isn't working either. Those are already on the list.

I cleared it before posting. As well as some other things.

I started using pcs at work and at home in 1986.

How do you change the dark layout? Nvm found it.

I usually don’t like change…but I’m already kinda diggin this.

Did we lose the option mark all read at the bottom of the page? I can only find it at the top in my Account options.

And yes, I have cleared cache and rebooted my iPad.

and, so.....please walk us no-tech-training-dummies through how to clear our cache. There must be other Forum members like me whose only knowledge came from a 1956 manual typewriter class. Thankyou.

Is anyone else having issues with their notification or message icon on the top right? Neither one of mine are responsive. Stone dead since the upgrade.

If you're using Google Chrome, you can click on the 'ice cream cone' (that's what our IT department calls these three stacked vertical dots) in the upper right area of your browser. Half way down this drop down menu is the zoom setting. After the update, mine looked smaller than before and sure enough the zoom was set at 80%. I bumped it up to 100% and all is good in my Bass Resource world once again.

Thanks @Big Hands . I appreciate it whenever members jump in to help. It's not that the forum code is bad (it's been tested - hard....on many platforms, OS versions, and browsers - for more than a year), it's usually cache, or perhaps a setting from the previous version that doesn't jive with the new version (like the example above). In my case, I had to change a setting in my profile so when I clicked on threads it would go to the last post rather than the first unread post. That setting didn't carry over to the new version. Just simple stuff.

The code has been HEAVILY revamped, so it's completely incompatible with the old code. However, in some cases, some code files have the same name as the old version, and if they're sitting in your cache, then weirdness begins to happen because the new code is calling the old code in your cache - formatting issues are the most common - other strange behavior could occur.

That's why it's critical you clear your cache - properly - before claiming there's a problem with the forums.

I've updated these forums many, many times over the years, and EVERY....SINGLE...TIME...I do it, several people claim there are issues when it's ALWAYS cache. Every time.

So..if you're experiencing weirdness (other than the known issue about the green menu button not working), then go to YouTube and search for "How to clear cache on (your browser name)". It's always helpful to update your browser to the latest version as well.

Funny...nobody has mentioned the ads are showing...that's a known bug I'm working on too, plus the top right search isn't working either (that searches all the articles on the site).

I got a notice asking me to change the setting in my ****er to allow ads, which I made an exception for in this case and did as I was requested since they have not been a nuisance like they are on other sites.

PS: I use dark mode on the rest of my apps whenever possible, so I am definitely liking the updated look.

Glad you like it! And yes, I have always strived to ensure the ads on this site are not obnoxious and intrusive. I've had advertisers ask for those and I've flat-out refused. Member experience is always #1 here.

Everything seems to be working. Should I still "clear my cache"? I don't know what a "cache" is!

I have a "cache" of Jelly Worms in my tackle room. Do I have to get rid of them?
