Made some upgrades

Featured Replies

Today I bought BoatBuckleβ„’ Mini G3 Retractable Ratcheting Tie-Downs for the trailer. Took about 5 minutes to do, I need to change out the old straps that were wearing out. No way I was going to use those on my trip to Tennessee. I’ve been wanting to get them for a while now, so this was a good time to do it. Just wanted to share. Have a blessed one

Nice. They're like Shimano's, once you use them, there's no going back.πŸ˜†

@GreenPig thank you and at one time I did use Shimano. But I quickly changed to Lews πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Have the same ones on my boat!!! You will love them!!!

These are one of those purchases that you think are an extravagance before you buy them, and once you have them you realize you should have sucked it up and bought them years ago. I use full size on my boat to trailer and have another pair I use to ratchet down my travel cover at the stern.

How did you bolt them to the trailer? There doesn't look like a lot of room there to mount it.

@gim - you use the hole that your strap hooks into otherwise and run a bolt right though it. The retracting strap has a matching bolt hole on the back of it and it comes with a 1/2" dia bolt or so.

@gim just like @casts_by_fly said to put them. It took all of 5 minutes to do the job. So simple to do even a cave man can do itπŸ˜‚

I used the ratchet straps for the first time today and absolutely love them. I highly suggest anybody who is thinking about the upgrade from straps to ratchet straps do it you’ll love it.

I put them on my Tracker 175. It was a great upgrade
