How To Name Members

Featured Replies

I see when members mention another member their forum name appears highlighted in a green circle with a "@" in front. How do I do this when I post and want to mention another member?

@SJS Type an @ then the name will pop up as you begin spelling it out and you simply select the appropriate member

My screen name is a nickname that I’ve had for over 35 years. I had it long before Brittney Spears sang it.😂 Its also on the license plates of my truck. Now how I got the nickname is a story reserved for a few adult beverages and friends.

Mine is my E Mail from way back . Just went with it. Probably could have found something better.

Mine is one of my only memories of my dad. He died when I was 5. I remember him taking me to a pond to fish, and decided to cut some donuts in the field next to it when we were leaving.

The passenger side door on his old work van swung open and I was trying to pull it closed as he swung around. He hollered “Hold on Bazoo!”

my friends used to give me crap for being an engineer and how we dont know what we are doing (they are guys who have to build or fix what we designed) but they always said I knew what I was doing so they always said I was "functional" for an engineer.

Other nicknames are Champ from my parents (started through my 4 open heart surgeries when I was a kid, stuck to this day) and Pally from my wife. Was a joke kind of thing between her and her best friend and it stuck also.

Could be called much worse.

I thought the same. 😂 T-Billy is just something I came up with referring to me being a Tuscarawas County hillbilly. Now I'm back home in Carroll County, so I suppose it should be C-Billy. Nah, I'll just keep rocking the T!!! Lol

@Functional thanks for the explanation I always wondered about what functional stood for.
