Abu Garcia Revo Premier

Featured Replies

Looks like it has hit the market.  Found it on the Cabelas web site this evening.  Available in Right and Left hand model.  Priced at  $259.00.

No sign of them at BPS as yet.

Yup, saw that yesturday. If I end up with a casting rod for larger bait's, that will be the reel that goes on the rod, can't wait to touch one. 8-)

Can't wait to hear reviews on this one.

I'm putting together a Dobyns rod combo in the next month or so for plastics, and I was leaning towards a Chronarch MG.  Now that there's a Revo in that weight class, I may have to reconsider.

I REALLY want to know how this reel does with weightless flukes and trickworms...

Yeah, I have my eyes on a Revo Premier as well. About the same weigh, $10 more and a crap load more drag. I think I will be adding this one to my arsenal. I had an STX and returned it for another 5omg.

Cant wait to hear the reviews.

I just ordered the Revo Inshore today and it should be here in 2-3 day. Can't wait to take it out for some redfish and snook.

Get a curado and save the other $59.00.

C'mon AJ, this a Abu Garcia thread. No alternatives needed. Believe me, you will have plenty of opportunities to "discuss" brands and preferences if you stick around here for awhile.

BTW, if I missed welcoming you, Welcome Aboard!

Agreed. Let's keep it on topic please. >;)

Nice!!  I love to see some fire and angst from the boss!!  He usually sends the mod squad!  ...lol

I tried to order the Premier when it first hit but got backordered...  I really don't need one but I cant resist a mid 6 oz. brute!  I'll have one or two, soon enough.

I'm going to buy an STX in the next few weeks, for my as of yet identified new rod, for my undetermined fishing technique.  After the STX, I think I'm going to build a couple of inshore rigs witht he Revo Inshore.

I'm ordering mine.

only bad thing about is this..

New $250 reel = new $300 LOOMIS......= $550 new set up I have to sneak it into the room, past the WIFE and onto the rod rack.

It's like MISSION IMPOSSIBLE around here.  But I'm always up for a good challenge.

Just rub a smear or two of light mud on it and say it was a second hand purchase.  It has worked in my house before.  ;)
