What's the little lever over the handle on the not-so-low low-profile reels?

Dang, that TD Z Ito is dead sexy....

And what's wrong with bein' a lefty?   ;) I can't reel one of those things with my right hand, have to flip it over and reel backwards.  ;D

What is the knob material on the TD-Z Ito and millionaire?

Robert,  you're getting to be quite the tackle junkie.  I saw those too on eBay.  Sweet!!! 8-)

Compressed cork covered in clear plastic.  Daiwa sells those grips.  I have a few on some of my reels.  They look great!

I don't like the bling and they are are the wrong brand!    :;)

Seriously, I prefer the polished chrome.

Here's the side-by-side comparison of two VERY comparable reels:

I like the chrome ones too.  If I knew Robert was out looking for his favorite lefty's xmas present already,...I would have dropped a few hints.  It's ok though, seems he knows what I like (the TD-Z matches my Comanche)

;) ;D

This guy does...

Micropterus............you be one funny dude.

Keep it up and you'll qualify for mook status.

Mr RW.  I have great respect for your opinions but how can you possibly call two reels with nearly a three ounce weight difference.

VERY comparable (emphasis yours) escapes me.

Not even close dude.   We're talking the streamlined precision of a Ferrari v. the obese luxury of a Sedan de Ville.

Robert,  I want that Type R and I want it NOW!!!!!!!!!!!  (Impulse control anyone?)

Please provide purchasing details.

I have no doubt those are great reels, but i'm not in love with the colors either.  The grips are very cool though.

I'm becoming a big fan of japan reels....I like the bling bling on those things...

I just don't like the price tag on them.

Weird review... 9.00 vs. 9.08 for the Calais, but the Calais didn't get any deduction for being a brick. 9.1ozs!?

The TD won with 9.08. The Calais had the 9.0.

I'll pass.

Those reels look like a bread box with a handle on them.

So what's the deal redline? Did you buy them or what? It's been about 11 hours since you posted some new $15,000 fishing gear purchase.  ;) You know you want to.
