Carrot Stix Warranty story

Featured Replies

Let me tell you all a quick little story about e21's customer service:

I broke my carrot stix.  The warranty states that you can return it to the place of purchase for a new rod or send it back to e21 with $30 to cover return shipping and handling.  I went back to where I got it and they didn't have the model that I needed so I couldn't exchange it but they packed in a rod tube and I headed to fedex to ship it back.  Fedex was going to charge me $84 to ship it to Canada!!!  I've now got $124 in returning this rod ($30 plus $84 s & h) so I said screw it.  I called e21 and spoke to customer service and they completely understood.  The lady I talked with said "just take a picture of the rod and send me some info like where and when you bought it and where you would like your new rod shipped to and i'll take care of it!!!

I couldn't believe it!  I thought I should share this with the crew here in case someone else breaks their carrot stix.

Take care,

Josh

I hadn't thought about it, but shipping to Canada is a PITA and quite expensive.

beat that loomis!!!

OK...  I had a MBR784C IMX replaced with the phone call alone.   :P

And they sent a prepaid shipping reciept for the return, just like the Xpediter, except with no money from me.

I had a CTS blank warranted with a pic only.

I had an Acadia replaced with just a phone call. Just told them I broke it fishing they had my info in the system asked which one it was and in about 3 days a new one was at the house no questions asked no pics nothing.

Burley don't worry about our Stix we won't have to send them to Canada just to KY, that is if we ever have a warranty issue.

So how did you break it in the first place???

I was told that all that is needed for the warranty is the part of the rod with the model number on it. Cut the rod down and send the small piece back to E21 in an envelope.

It is cool - and it's true - that's all that they require per the warranty card that comes with the rod.

As for how the rod broke - my wife did it.  I'll spare you all the details becuase it will make you all as mad as it did me - trust me.

Thank goodness for good customer service.  BTW I got a UPS notification on friday that my replacement had shipped.  Didn't cost me a nickel and per the UPS tracking number I'll have it on Tuesday.

ohh i get it ,, like the ulgly stick commerical where the wife stuffs the rod in the dish washer ... ;D
