if you only can pick one, Which line would you pick?

Just out of curiosity ....

If you can only one type of line in a tournament which line would you pick?

I guess I'm still stuck in a rut:

Spinning Tackle: Yo-Zuri Hybrid or Hybrid Ultra Soft #6 (.010" diameter, 11.9 lb test)

Baitcasting gear: Hybrid or Ultra Soft #12 (.013" diameter, 19.5 lb test)

The performance of ALL lines will be enhanced by treating them with KVD Line & Lure Conditioner.

8-)

I guess I'm stuck in a rut also.

Trilene XL #8, #10, #12 and #14.

Flouro, because here in Southern New England the water is as clear as it gets, and the rocks are BIG.

Berkley Big Game 15# Mean Green  :)

stuck in ruts here, too.

12# yozuri hybrid for tip down.

15# fluoro for tip up...tho sometimes i get frisky and bump it to 20# here.

Mono...period. Has caught, can catch and will catch anything that swims. Trilene XL....all the way.

Yo Zuri hybrid ultra soft 8 lb on my spinning

12 lb Yo Zuri hybrid ulta soft on my bc, I might even go to 10 on the BC.. :)

Berkley Big Game 15# Mean Green :)

Agreed

Mono for me....Berkley Trilene XT clear.

If I could only choose one line it would be 50 lb test PowerPro.

JT Bagwell

Yo-Zuri Hybrid for me as well for all of my reels, spinning and bcs.

Later, :)

Thanks for all that have voted!

I think we can do better!

Should have have split this into two groups, one for spin and one for cast?

Thanks,

Izorline XXX #12

i picked flouro , but i ALWAYS use power pro braid AND a flouro leader , when fishing frogs , just the power pro .  :)

30lb Spiderwire Stealth for me. Have had success with it with pretty much every technique, on both BC and spinning gear.

Back in the days TriMax, then Sensation and XL .. :)

As much as I hate to agree with your grumpy 'ol butt....TriMax was awesome.  The copolyer construction and photochromic properties of the line put it light years ahead of the current offerings of the time.  As a kid (10-13yrs old); I thought it was expensive....but so were $69 Berkley Lightening rods.

Mono. Braid ruins topwater actions and fluoro sinks.

Just one? Yo Zuri in 10 and 15 LB.

Mono. Braid ruins topwater actions and fluoro sinks.

I'm not sure how on earth braid couldkill your top water action? the limpness of braid helps me walk the dog WWAAAYYY better than a mono or flouro. I can tie straight to a topwater bait with braid, but ifI'm using one of the others I have to use a loop knot.

and my answer to the original question,is 30lb power pro, all day, period!
