Very nice reels Ok Bass Hunter!

Thanks, I'm starting to fall into the camp of that you only buy once if you buy right.

That's a good way to look at it. When quality meets a fit for your intended uses, plus toss in the notion of caring for and maintaining your gear it is reasonable to purchase something for the long haul and be fully satisfied.

Just finished getting this all setup, Lew's Super Duty. I'm just starting to really get into bass fishing. This is my first baitcasting setup and working on getting my second. I've been browsing this thread for awhile and finally wanted to share something.

ok JDM afficianados.....anyone know of a 3 piece JDM travel rod? I am looking for a travel rod 7' or less with a weight range that goes up to 3 oz or so!

Jeff

Orochi secret service. 3oz might be a tough one but those seem like what you're looking for more or less.

One of the Megabas Secret Sevice rods.

What site do you get your jdm rods from?

Need to find one.

There's a few on that auction site.

Line up of rods so far. Plan on adding about 4 more rods. Hopefully a Black Jungle Power Versatile and another Orochi with a Conquest 400 when they come out in May.

Only rated to 3/4 of an oz. Need almost 3 oz. I have travel rods now rated up to 1.5 oz

Jeff

Do you plan on throwing swimbaits with the rod? What reel do you wanna pair with it?

This rod will be for Peacock in Brazil. Topwater wood choppers and such. Reel will be a 200 size Shimano with 60-80lb braid.

Jeff

My favorite new setup. This combo is sweet

Incoming.  I had no idea Gan Craft made a rod like this.  I also recently purchased their EXH Super Brain, rated 1/2oz - 2oz, specifically for Peacocks.  The fit and finish of their rods are as good as Mega Bass.  Slightly less expensive.  This rod, at 6'7", should prove to be deadly accurate for peacocks as well.  Some areas you're in confined quarters so having a short stout rod is necessary to be able to pinpoint your casts to where you need them.

I see what you did there... The JDM bait monkey is an even deadlier species.

Speaking of Megabass, I couldn't help myself.  Also incoming.  I had gotten rid of the bait monkey a few years back.  Apparently, the cure is not permanent.
