Got the 1000, 2500, 3000 and the last tackle warehouse sale got the 4000 i love my ci4s!!

 

My newest acquisition. 2016 Megabass Destroyer Bandersnatch. First impression is it's a beautiful rod. Will use it for spinnerbaits primarily.

Other part of my HH order showed up today. Added some more purple to the Steez. 'frame screws and levelwind screw' Forgot to put the knob caps in before taking a pic. 

 I keep telling myself that in no way shape or form am I going to start trying to color match my rods and reels. I keep telling myself I don't care about that stuff, I keep telling myself that my car is a POS and looks like a homeless person lives in there, that doesn't bother me, why would I care what my fishing gear looks like?

I was the same at one point. I was into cars and once I sold it I no longer had anything to tinker with. For me this kinda takes its place. Plus it keeps me from buying more reels 'to a point' I like to try out as many as I can. So it's a constant buy/sell but the ones I do hold onto I then get to make into my own. With Daiwa it's endless with all the options available. All the spools,handles,knobs,dress up parts, and ect. Then there's the stuff no one will ever see. Like putting an Alphas outer mag ring into a Megabass Zonda to improve performance. Or swapping out the brake dial for one from a Steez because it looks better. It's a very slippery slope!

Whats with that hook holder? looks like you added it? I have a couple rods w/o hook holders

have been wrestling with either getting stradic2500/3000 or supreme xt/ci4 2500r3000 heard pflueger runs a little smaller on spool size, to up size by one to be equal with stradic ? you have nice setup there.

In Shimano stick to the 2500 size, anything bigger for bass fishing is a waste of line. Everything between the two sizes is identical, 3000 spool is just deeper to hold that little bit more line.

I'd go the the 3000 considering the frame size is the same

This is great! Looks like my collection of spinning reels. Havent found a better one!

I can tell.  I am all about performance upgrades/tweaks, but one might as well buy pretty parts if one can.  

 

Speaking of that, I have a pair of sv105hs reels and I would like to replace the break dial with something easier to grip and a bit less wobbly feeling.  I also want it to match the existing factory red highlights.  Do you know which, if any, of the aftermarket ones will match the factory color?

There might be some handle knobs on the way already.  If there were, it was only because they were cheap and I was already paying shipping for a longer handle, which imho is clearly a performance upgrade, not a cosmetic one.  

Wanted to add this to the other post but file size was too big. Got the new combo out for a test drive and snapped a pic. Here is the Bandersnatch paired with an SS SV.
