Traded a chronarch 51e for a jdm revo aurora, sold that on ebay and picked up a chronarch 51mg. Boca orange seals and a hawgtech handle, couldnt be happier, this is an amazing reel, and maybe my favorite.....

Hiawatha 4'6" steel rod w/ Bronson Mercury 2550; $8 plus a lot of TLC to get it functional. This is the baitcaster I've been learning on for the past month, figuring if my thumb can learn to control this thing, modern gear should be a snap.  Light? Nope. Sensitive? Ha! But after a few weeks of learning the hard way I can get a 3/8 oz. casting plug out 30 yards with nary a stray loop running over (about 80% of the time). I upgraded my spinning gear over the winter but on this crappy, rainy opening day in Wisconsin I have to say that it's this rig that's twice my age that I can't wait to try out.  Bet none of these bass around here have ever seen a South Bend Midge-Oreno, either.

Tight lines!

I like the swept  handle! :eyebrows:

That's a sweet setup for your first baitcaster man.

Because the wife doesn't care....

Thanks, buddy. I had these reels out for some tinkering last night and figured I'd snap a couple pics.

As you can see I have no clue how to post a picture...

Thanks!

From left to right.

Shimano Chronarch 200E6- St.Croix Legend Tournament medium-fast

That's funny, I just swapped out a JDM Zillion for a Chronarch e7 on my Teaser.  What a versatile rod.

Yeah. I really like GLoomis but St.Croix is the first high end company I started buying. I have a soft spot for St.Croix. Used to have an Avid and Xtreme. Regret selling them. I'm sure I'll pick up some more sooner than later.

Where did you get those?

Where did you get those?

Got em used off another fishing forum, there off a shimano caenan reel. Took the bearings out of the stock core knobs, then stole the bearings out of my hawgtech knobs for the curado.

That actually looks pretty sweet, I'm considering that now

Here's my set-ups for this year:
