    I thought it would be appropriate to bump this thread after hearing the bad news of @Catt's passing.  I don't fish Toledo Bend but this is a very interesting read for anyone.  I know Tommy took a lot

@Catt, in the top left (the port side) :) of the screen you should see Toledo Bend Maps.KMZ (orginal file) or GPX if you used the one I uploaded. If you do not see that select file at the top and load, find the file you saved on your computer, hilight it and select open. Now you should see the names listed, double click one and it will take you to that location on the map.

Heading back up Thursday, look like it will be anogther wet one for me, but it still beats work. You going to be up this weekend with all the other pros?

@Catt, not sure what is going on. Are you using Google Earth from a web browser or did you download to your computer? I get off work at 5pm if you want to try and work through it. This is going to be really nice once we all get it to working right.

BTW guys, if anyone here is interested in an intense electronics learning weekend where you will learn mapping, image interpretation, and establishing patterns in a classroom setting along with a half day trip in the boat to put into practice what you learn in the classroom, please contact me ASAP. We will be doing this at Cypress Bend on May 9-11. We only have 12 spots left available.

If I had better electronics too apply the lesson too I would totally be in on this.

Any chance you will do this say on a yearly base's. Will be sometime before I can upgrade my electronics but once I do I would be in the class for sure.

If all goes well this round, I plan on doing this atleast once a year. I do a lot of electronic trips in the boat and I teach electronic classes in the classroom, so we will see how it goes putting them both together. I think it will be the best of both worlds.

It just opens a google earth map for me.  That may be what is supposed to happen.  I am no rocket surgeon.

Under "Places" on the left, you should see Toledo Bend Maps.kmz.  Expand that and you can select the location names that you it to to display.

It shows a drop down, open that there's "my places", open that there's a file titled file:///storage/emu...oBendMaps.kmz

All it will let me do is delete that file, it will not open!

Cancelled day 2 of the BASS event.  The weather must be bad up there.  Guess I won't go this weekend.

Hi to everybody on this thread. I just found this forum a few days ago!

I have a house in the Hickory Ridge area. I am sure hoping y'all can give me some pointers on where to fish. My productivity has been very poor of late and I have decided that this spring and early summer I am going to fish hard and reverse that trend. So I'll be stalking around trying to get some pointers from the people on this thread on where to fish and what my wife and I should throw at them.

@DandY How y'all are?

Welcome aboard!

I think we can help ?

Caught a few in the rain this afternoon.

Arig, jigging spoon, dropshot Carolina rig. Last deep water in the cove. Water temp 53 degrees.

I don't know what's going on with the Google Earth I downloaded but the satellite images are 4-5 yrs old!

My trip to TB is only 3 weeks out. Been pouring over maps......packing wheel bearings......servicing gear....etc. Excited to be back on the big pond after 22 years away from it. I'll be staying in San Patricio. Any tips or advice would be appreciated.

Fish hard, fish long, think outside the box and kick bass.

@Scot Ferguson

There's something about that Pond!  ?

Bassmaster has a tournament going on right now...I'd pay attention to the results!

Bassmaster will interview the top anglers who will divulge where (shallow or deep) & on what.

In 3 weeks you can definitely look shallower!

I will absolutely be there the week after you. ?
