Super User Catt Posted February 14, 2023 Author Super User Posted February 14, 2023 I agree there will be more pressure but out of those who normally don't fish those lake how successful do you think they be? Â Take Toledo Bend, the daily limit is 8 bass with a 14" minimum. How many people you know can catch a limit every day? Quote
LovestoFish Posted February 14, 2023 Posted February 14, 2023 Not many. Â How many I know? If we take u out of the group, zero ? 1 Quote

But if I had to put a WAG on it. I'd say mid day to 3 pm back cove areas of 1 to 3 foot depth range where in the 48 to 52 degrees temp range today.  I'm planning on fishing this weekend and will provide a more accurate temp this weekend. 1 1 Quote

Super User Catt Posted February 17, 2023 Author Super User Posted February 17, 2023 Water level 171.82 stained 50-56 degrees Water temperature at the dam is 50 degrees. North of the three-mile Pendleton Bridge temperatures have been running 50-56 degrees.  There has been a lot of rain and runoff entering the lake. The back feeder creeks are muddy and flowing. The main lake is stained and clearing. .  The bass are starting to move into their staging areas at the mouth of creeks, ditches, and drains. 2 Quote
btoups Posted February 17, 2023 Posted February 17, 2023 Heading to the bend tomorrow for 5 days. We are staying in Patroon Creek. I have very little experience on the lake and I'm very appreciative for all of the great information I've read on this forum. Any area tips or bait suggestions would be appreciated. If you see a blue and white dual console Hanko hull with Mercury 225 Optimax on the back stop and say hi.   If anyone wants to join my son and I in my boat let me know. I'll be there Saturday afternoon until Wed morning. I'm willing to trailer to any part of the lake as well.  Thanks again. 1 Quote
LovestoFish Posted February 17, 2023 Posted February 17, 2023 Appreciate the offer. A5 and Catt have more experience than me so I'd listen to them. I would pay attention to water clarity and temp. Patroon and the back of most creeks will probably be pretty stained so I'd fish more toward the main lake. Good luck! 2 Quote
A5BLASTER Posted February 19, 2023 Posted February 19, 2023 Water is clearing up and warming up. Â See that temp? Â Yall know what time it is? Â Its bass smashing time fellas. Â Bass tracker is in the water and we bout to go find them. 2 Quote
Back to Front Posted February 20, 2023 Posted February 20, 2023 I fished today for about 4 hours and didn't get a bite. Water temp was 57 and the water was slightly stained around the big bass marina cove. 1 Quote
