Wouldn't surprise me

What cracks me up is a lot of guys still saying the lake is dying.

I agree there will be more pressure but out of those who normally don't fish those lake how successful do you think they be?

Take Toledo Bend, the daily limit is 8 bass with a 14" minimum. How many people you know can catch a limit every day?

A5 what's the water temperatures like in your area?

Not sure right now, I'm at work till friday.

But if I had to put a WAG on it. I'd say mid day to 3 pm back cove areas of 1 to 3 foot depth range where in the 48 to 52 degrees temp range today.

I'm planning on fishing this weekend and will provide a more accurate temp this weekend.

Bassmasters on Okeechobee this week. There are a few anglers from this area that are in the Elites.  Can someone bust 100 pounds on Okeechobee ?

Water level  171.82

stained 50-56 degrees

Water temperature at the dam is 50 degrees.

North of the three-mile Pendleton Bridge temperatures have been running 50-56 degrees.

There has been a lot of rain and runoff entering the lake. The back feeder creeks are muddy and flowing. The main lake is stained and clearing. .

The bass are starting to move into their staging areas at the mouth of creeks, ditches, and drains.

Heading to the bend tomorrow for 5 days.  We are staying in Patroon Creek.  I have very little experience on the lake and I'm very appreciative for all of the great information I've read on this forum.  Any area tips or bait suggestions would be appreciated.  If you see a blue and white dual console Hanko hull with Mercury 225 Optimax on the back stop and say hi.

If anyone wants to join my son and I in my boat let me know.  I'll be there Saturday afternoon until Wed morning.  I'm willing to trailer to any part of the lake as well.

Thanks again.

Appreciate the offer. A5 and Catt have more experience than me so I'd listen to them. I would pay attention to water clarity and temp. Patroon and the back of most creeks will probably be pretty stained so I'd fish more toward the main lake. Good luck!
