Where are all the Illinois Guys ?

Featured Replies

Well this weekend is kinda bitter sweet.  I was supposed to go to shelbyville this weekend w/ my dad and finally get my boat out on some big water but we canceled.  A lot of other stuff went down today but i ended up finally getting my first bass of the season. Tossin a 1/4oz red eye shad in gizzard shad.  I missed him the first time after he hit got angry started swearing. I let it sit there as i wallowed in self pity and then started it up again and whack.  The fish was nothing to write home about but at least I got one!  Caught it at lake Sedgewick in Orland Park

I was able to sneak out the other night after getting the kids to sleep and ran into a new PB! 6lbs 3oz at a little lake by my house. I found an offshore weedline in about 10ft of water on my portable

Kinda rough weather in northern IL today but I've been on this 3-day weather pattern the last couple weeks (fishing the 3rd day of warm day/warmish night trend) and today is the target day. I decided

Some nice piggies Gale

and what might the name of this magical lake that holds all the bass over 1.5 lbs in illinois be?!   :)

its a private lake :) would be more than happy to wet a line with ya there if your ever in the area. would have to blind fold ya though :)

I'm only an hour and a half away, hell I'll even wear the blind fold lol.

Pulled about 30-35 bass out of the pond behind my house this weekend.  They were tearing up creature baits, looks like I'll have to go load up again.

Shelbyville anyone?  Gonna be down there w/ seom buds this weekend.  Current reports? Tips?  anyone gonna be in the area?

Everyone fall off the planet lol?

I have been stuck in Rockford for the last two weeks for work, so no fishing for me...  I hope this is the last week I will be up here.

This weekend my cousin was in town so we got in my little 10' pelican boat and fished the pond next to my house and ended up with about 20 bass.

Then Sunday we walked down the street to the other pond in the subdivision and I was able to pull about six 2 lbers and one 5 lber!  We could see them swimming around the shoreline and in the middle of the pond, I just casted my paca craw out there and gave it a few twitches and they couldnt resist lol

This thread has been brought back from pg.2.

bwell, those paca craws have been very good to me also this spring, on a jig or weightless both ways produce

Yeah they work really well, it would be nice if they didnt tear so easily though...

For you guys that fish the Fox south of Elgin, chemicals were dumped into the river and caused a fish kill.

That's just horrible

I am not, but my wifes aunt and uncle lives in your town.  We visit every once in a while.

To whom it may concern.

The L.M harbors are starting to heat up with the jumbo perch, good reports from In.all the way up to Wi.

Go Blackhawks

Central IL here, fishing is great right now, stacked up every which way!
