There was a thread like this sometime last year and I figured with so many new members and the new year starting, this would be a good one to resurrect.

SPEEDBEAD comes from a discontinued Terminator spinnerbait, my favorite lure since I started fishing for Ol' Mossyback.

Let's hear your explanations!!!!

Back in '97 I bought my first sports car, and taking a good buddy for a ride I was redlining every gear to merge onto the freeway. He looked at me and said, "d**n! Easy there Redlinerobert" ;D The name stuck ever since.

Online Gaming alias, IRC Nickname, Forums Nickname

just a nickname given to me by friends in the past. I tend to be quiet in person :D

MY FAVORITE ALL TIME MUSICIAN IS MUDDY WATERS

Well I was born in Tokyo, Japan, where I lived until I was 4 yrs old, then the family moved to Miami, FL for various reasons.

When my American mother married a Japanese man, my grandfather (her father) wasn't too happy about it because he was kind of old school and always imagined her marrying another white person.  After he met my brother and me, and really fell in love with us, he decided it was ok that my mom married a Japanese man (this sounds bad, but you had to have known him to understand - and he fought in WWII so he had a natural bias against Japanese).  Anyway, when he met us he nicknamed me Tokyo Tony and my brother Nagasaki Ned just for fun (our names are not Tony and Ned), and my brother and I still occasionally use those names for various things in his memory.

Well, mine started this year about the C.A.S.T. for kids tourney on the forum. Someone said Tin to Win, others said Tin will win. And at the ramp the morning of the tournament everyone was saying how I actually started it, even though I wasnt even a member of BassResource at the time, IDK :-? ? Then during the day most of the boats were in a small little 2 acre part of the Park and I was the only tin boat in there compared to 11 glass boats. When I caught my first keeper, people from other boats would yell out, hey maybe tin will win today. But anyway, at all of the tourneys from then on when I showed up people just started calling me by it. So there ya go.   ::)  Dont like the name, but like the saying.

Pretty obvious, wouldn't you say?

Sorry, in a grumpy mood today. >:(

It doesn't really have a story with it.  I was joining a boat repair/restoration forum, and I needed a handle.  I am a bass fisherman, and a male, so that fits.  I just threw a one on there for the heck of it.  It stuck on all the rest of the forums to, as I can't remember more than one anyway.

My grandpa and I erected a street sign called Bass Haven Ln. back in the 70's.  It's located on the St.Johns John's River in Green Cove Springs, Fl.  (you can google earth the street name to find it)  I changed the name a little for my Avatar.  Florida state record came from there too. Don't know if it still holds though.  I also go by Muffrat , which I got in H.S  and recently "MyDulcePuta.", which is what I call my wife in certain moments. I use both those on on-line poker.

I hit the lake looking for at least 5 keepers every time out and it's what I like to have when I get back to the weigh in.

"MyDulcePuta.", which is what I call my wife in certain moments.

Lol, I bet she loves that

Well John is my real first name, and J. is just an abbreviation for Jones. To me "John J." looks and sounds better than "John Jones" as a screen name.

Texas fans do this:

Hookemhorns.jpg

I'm a OU fan (anti-texas for you people whole don't know that much about football)

We hook'em down, as in making the same gesture, but upside down.  It's meant to insult Texas fans.

D is for Dropshot

A is for Action

V is for

Oh,  wait.   It's just my name.

;D

My screen name is universal, I use it for everything from Yahoo Messenger to email to everything in between.  I had to pick something about 3 years ago, and I like to trout fish, so, "Troutfisher" originated.  It was "Troutfisher91", but I shortened it.

Plus, Bassfisher91 or Bassfisher was probably taken anyway.
