When it rains, it pours...

The month is half over and the total precipitation is 6.5".  We had 8" last month.  We've had more rain in the first five and a half months of this year than we did in the first 9 months last year.  Well on our way to having 40" of rain in six months.

I've been trying to find a good set of blueprints for an ark.

Next summer you won't get hardly any.

The title of this thread would make a good slogan for a salt company.

What's that? It's been done already?

Great for ponds and lakes.

Not good for river fishing.  :)

Look at the bright side Burley your drought problem should be over by now.

I love muddy and flooded ponds specailly in summer

And as we speak, the area where Burley and myself live is under a Tornado warning and getting pounded with more rain.....YAY.

B*tch, b*tch, b*tch. One year it's "global warming, droughts, heatwaves, etc." Now we get a little rain and it starts again.

Where's Al Gore? :D

We have been dry for a few days but it looks like we might get hit with some precipitation again tomorrow...

A little rain?  I could handle 'a little rain'.  What I can't handle is daily toad stranglers that drop an inch of rain in an hour.

Pretty soon we are going to hear Al Gore railing about Global Wetting!

:D

Down here it's not been the rain but the friggin wind.  Two tornados last month and 3 warnings this month.

That amount of rain is nothing. We got up 30" in some places in Central Florida in a weeks time about a month ago.

Wouldn't it be nice to relegate the rain to Monday-Thursday. Rain all it wants to then....Leave the weekend alone.

The plans are in Genesis 6 v.14-16. You might have trouble finding gopherwood. Haven't seen that at the lumberyards for some time ;D

I know what your sayin.  Its constantly dumping rain here too.

Blah. The power was out around Abingdon from around 8:00 until 12:30. It wasnt exactly a long time but it was probably the longest Id been without powe lol. The river I kayak in was running around 350CFS two days ago so Im hoping it will be around 700-1000 CFS today. Ive never seen it over 400 but my paddling buddies want it to get gnar.

I made it out today and the river was rockin. The last I checked it was 1750 CFS and was around 1550 when I was paddling. It was a solid class III run and I had been doing IIs before it. I only wiped out once and it wasnt even in rapids. Yeah, Im hijacking your thread burley ;)
