SCAMMED Buyer Beware resolved...finally

Featured Replies

Some of you might remember a thread I had back in the late Spring of this year. It is now locked, but you can search iFisch and you will be able to find the thread. I bought a reel for $120 via money order and I never got the reel. Well, I figured since he did not answer my 10+ emails I was scammed.

So I am searching through TT last week and I see a familiar name, IFisch, the same name the guy used on this site. I looked at his profile and sure enough it was the same kid from Fla. I sent him a pm asking for him to man up and send the money. To my surprise he responded with a nice message about how he was sorry. I guess he was hospitalized right after our deal and had his work ship the reel. I guess it got sent to the wrong address so he says. He offered to pay me the money back or ship me a NIB $250 reel. 2 day UPS. I decided I would take the reel offer. Well, it got here today and Nick was extremely responsive to all my pms (on TT) while we figured this all out.

I guess he isn't a terrible kid after-all, but I will never send a MO again because of this. Between this, getting the $ from USPS (in another post), and getting the afternoon off in clinic; it has been a great day. Now if it were only Spring...

wow thats a rarity in todays age. good to hear it worked out in the end

Atleast it worked out in your favor.

It's always nice when you get something resolved... ;)

Jon, again, I apologize. I can provide hospital records if you really want them. Everything I told you can ultimately be tracked, if you believe me or not. We talked for some time when he informed me. I even offered him my phone number so he can speak to me in person and allow me to explain myself.

brushhoggin, it is.

skunked_again, mistakes happen. Like you said, we're all human. I fixed it as quickly as I could. Jon didn't really want the reel, so I provided the receipt so he can return it and get what he ultimately wants.

"I recently purchased a 14 Biocube Hood from iFish's. Great communication and the hood was in perfect condition. Definitely recommend him as a seller."

"I recently purchased a 150w mh light from nick. He cares more about you being happy with what you are buying than making money. Def recommended and I would buy from him again for sure.

thanks Nick

A++"

Again, a simple mistake. I made an attempt to inform family to get the right product out to the right person in a timely manner, from the hospital. Obviously this didn't happen in this instance.

I sincerely apologize to Jon, and everyone else here.

good man. From all of the facts in this thread I wouldn't have an issue doing business with ya. Uicdent, glad you got your stuff bro!

No problems anymore Nick. You did apologize and state what happened and I do commend you for that. I truly appreciate it. I just wanted to update the board for those that remembered the incident. I understand you post on several forums and I do not want someone to search the forum and not do business with you in the future because of anything I said previously. We are on good terms and I would now recommend you as a buyer/seller. Glad to see you are back posting.  :)

Thank you. That means a lot from you two.

I don't wish this upon anyone. And I'll be the first to admit it was my mistake and my fault.

Wow!

A happy ending...

Way to man up. You know how the old saying goes "Better Late (Than Never)"

Good ending to a bad story. Thanks for Manning up. I too, would do business with you if the opportunity arises.

iFish - first and foremost we are glad that you are out of the hospital.

The only thing that seems odd is UIC stil had to track you down despite 10 e-mails. I don't want to know any details nor are they any of my business.

Perhaps you literally had just gotten well and hadn't got to them yet. Also if a long ordeal the messages could have been buried.

Congrats on stepping up and getting the situation resolved. That is a big step towards becoming a class act.

Again priority #1 glad to hear that you are well.

Now I bet you are glad you didn't sent Vito down there. LOL
