I saw this picture and could not believe it.  Here is the article that went with it as well.

On June 5, Adam Konrad of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, landed a pending International Game Fish Association (IGFA) all-tackle world record rainbow trout that tipped the scales at a hefty 43.6 pounds. Konrad, 26, who was fishing with his identical twin brother, Sean, caught the monster in Lake Diefenbaker in southern Saskatchewan using a 4-inch Mepps Syclops while fishing from the shore. He was using six-pound-test line.

All I can say is WOW. That thing is over a pound heavier than the world record steelhead.

I don't know if I would stuff that thing or eat it. That would be alot of meat........... but then it would make one hell of a wall mount.

wow!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is a goliath of a trout right there. And on 6 lb line!! Bet that dude about wet himself. ;D

Good Lord that thing is massive!

Nice fish, I have never seena rainbow trout that big in my life.  There are some serious fillets there.

Impressive, and on 6lb test line. Kudos for him landing it. I wonder how long the battle took to land that fish? I mean 43lbs on 6lb line, he must have been almost spooled a few times.
