You're Invited to the 5th Annual BassResource.com Roadtrip!!!

Featured Replies

Guys the trip last year was worth it just for RW. One night at dinner he's falling over chairs and the next he's screaming "Don't eat the chicken".

At least the wine box didn't break! ;D

I had 2 pieces of Wayne's fantastic steroid injected (Huge) chicken and lived to tell about it and fish the next day without any emergency trips to shore.

Now the pancakes at the marina- that's another story.

Uncle Leo can attest to that.

Yep I did not need to trim my nose hairs for a month.

OK, that's it.  I've taken all of the abuse from you guys that I'm going to take.  You will never again see me walking around with a box of Franzia, but you may see me walking around with a gallon milk jug.  I really enjoy my milk.  :P

From what I can remember liquor was more scarce then gold in that dry county. I'm surprised you didn't get robbed by Rod point.

I guess I will get to meet some of you folks if I ain't busy with the band. That is in my neck of the woods. I will probably have to buy a temp license  for Tennnessee, and might even camp close by.

IS IT MAY YET???????

Oh, don't I wish it was May. I cannot wait!!!!

My personal suggestion as far as license is to buy a Tennessee license, you can fish a long way up Pickwick with it, and if you like to fish tailraces you can fish below the dam. Plus where the roadtrip is this year you can fish 2 different lakes on one trip. Of course Road Warrior already knows this.

The Lodge is immediately across from

the Pickwick Dam. Everyone attending

the BassResource.com Roadtrip needs

a Tennessee license.

In my defense, from something I was reading a couple of pages back, that chair was broken! :D

Guys the trip last year was worth it just for RW. One night at dinner he's falling over chairs and the next he's screaming "Don't eat the chicken". All the while Big-O downs several pieces of possibly under cooked chicken and had a look in his eye that made me think he was Rabid. Then there was Procrafter my roomate who's 2 fish always turned into 10 and a 12incher turned into a 18 incher. ;D All and all it was of the best times of my life. I look forward to this one. BTW if anybody is wanting to get a cabin and need another roomate let me know.

And Simp is one of my roomies next year!

Falling over chairs, yeah, I think I witnessed that too.  I was referring to falling over IN your chair! (which mine obviously had a defect)

The other Quote was "Someone pulled the chair out from under me"

You must not heard that one.

I think those chairs outside were all messed up.

Lean back too far and over you go! I almost went over myself.

You forgot to mention the most important part.

Not a drop of beer was spilled. :D

(No he wasn't hammered, it was his first of the night before dinner. Equipment malfunction)

I do think someone out there has a picture of this for blackmail purposes though.

Just kidding.

I will admit it wasn't my FIRST of the night, but I was far from hammered, haha!  I think Burley had a picture of it...I know he posted a while back and that pic was in there.

Personally I'm really looking forward to it being my second trip and all. My first trip I found it awkward at times not knowing screen names with faces but that wore off. I met some of the nicest, funniest, and luckiest (how many times did CJ win a reel?) people I have ever met. I only wish that storm with cold weather hadn't hit us those first couple days. Being further to the south and a couple weeks later I'm hoping we hit a killer spawn/ post spawn bite. I'm determined to catch some smallies as well.

Simp, It's a double edged sword.  First you learn to associate the screen names with the real names, then you call them by their real names for the balance of the trip, then you get back home and forget what their screen names were.  Been there, done that.  :-[

Hey Pal, you're no Spring Chicken yourself.  Beware!  The next time I see you I will smite you with my walker.  ;D

Don't worry Mike you got a few to go to catch up with me. Was 66 in Oct.  Respect your ELDERS Mike.

Kelley

Glenn,  I'm trying to make this one but I do have a question.

Do I have to pay the 50$ if I'm only there for the opening weekend?  I cant do the whole week.

GMAN,

The Roadtrip starts with sign-up, greetings

and probably a little wine & cheese Sunday

afternoon/ evening (May 2) and concludes

Thursday night. Check-out is Friday morning,

May 7. There is no "scheduled" weekend fishing.

The registration fee covers a badge, goodie bag,

t-shirts and the banquet Wednesday night. This

fee will barely cover costs or may not! However,

if you fish the weekend, May 1 & 2, you are

welcome to the afternoon gathering at no cost.

-Kent

p.s.

Last year's wine and cheese party was sponsored

by just a few of us, not reimbursed by BassResource.

Everyone is encouraged to contribute a bottle of wine,

but that is NOT obligatory.

Crap.  Thanks RW.  Some reason I thought M2 was a Saturday.

So Mike's bringing the boxed whine and Kraft singles right? ;D
