10 one pounders or........

Featured Replies

10 Pounder no question

10 pounders are everywhere, it's just a matter of finding them. I used to think that I had to go south to catch one of thos monsters untill I read the Wisconsin state records. The biggest bass caught here was 11 pounds! Hunt 'em down, they're in there!

Most of the waters I fish around home I go for trophies. I will take a 10 pounder any day. Now a 10 pound Smallie, I would catch one of them and go whole month without catching another Bass... I got Muskies in the same river ;)

I would pick the 10 pounder!!  Here in Minnesnowta that would give me the state record.

Reelwise, My fishing partner caught the only 10 lb smallmouth I've ever seen in Nov '03, but I don't think it was nearly as big as the fish you're holding in the pic...What is that?

here in north carolina ten lbers are not to hard to come by, i mean you stand a good chance of catching one everytime you go to our great bass fishing lakes. My personal  largemouth is 9.4 caught at sharron harris  on a fat free shad about 4 years ago. still looking for the big 10.  oh well maybe this year!   keep the slack,   catbird48

i get a huge thrill out of a good fight so i would go for the 10, unless my son was with me. that way he would be impressed by how many fish i landed

I'd catch one ten, just so I could take a picture and brag to all my fishing friends, besides you don't catch 10 pounders that often in Washington.

I would take a 10lber anyday over some small ones, the record in my lake it i think 8lbs. I would be a hero and get all the girls. Then i would enter in some local tourneys cause i would be so proud

I wish that it would work that way, Instead of me catching 100 small bass last year, I could have caught  10 10lbers!!!  I think the question should be, Would you rather catch 100 small bass or 1 10lber?

if i could catch a 10 pounder i would probly wet myself haha jkjk but it would be a memory i would never forget. hah and i dont ever have a 1 lb bass that ive caught that i remember specifically

In Mississippi , we have a long growing season. We also have Florida bass.I fish for big fish.In the last two years I've caught a 12 and three 10's.I use big fish baits ,and I'm not interested in catching a stringer full of dinks.I don,t usually catch manyfish, but they're mostly big fish.I've lost count of how many 4-6 pounders I've caught.I won't catch but 3-4 fish, but the smallest will generally be a 3 pounder.I'm totally catch and release.I'lltake a picture with a digital camera and then release them.I did keep the 12.2 and had it mounted.
