In 08:

To at least match my PB that I got last year

Lifetime:

To get a boat :).

2008 Goal/Prediction:

Beat my PB Largemouth (5.2 lbs)

Beat my PB Smallmouth (4 lbs +)

Lifetime Goals:

LM: Double digits

SM: 7 lbs or higher

That's my final answer.for now ;D .

Here in Canada realistically next year a 4lber lm and a 3lb sm

lifetime: Lm 7lb

            Sm 5lb

I fish both IA and IL

PB so far     7lb  5 oz LM

                      6lb 2 oz  SM

   '08 prediction and dream

                     9lb   LM

any larger than 4 lb SM cuz I let my PB SM go cuz I didnt realize it was HUGE!!

Catch a bigger double digit on Clear Lake. (Or ANYWHERE for that matter!)

Catch a nice bass on the fly.

I predict a good fishing year for all. :D

I want to catch an 8lb LMB & 5lb SMB in Virginia this year.

In New York for 08:

LMB: 7lbs

SMB: 6lbs: ( on Erie)

In Florida when I visit my mother:

LMB:10lbs+

Liftime goals NY:

LMB: 9 lbs

SMB: next state record would be nice ;)

I want a 6lb or better largemouth.

I'm also planning on buying my first real surf casting setup. I want to catch my first blue and striper.

for starters, when I read the post tiltle, "Predict your 08' hawg".... The first thing I thought was, "I can't think of any way to jinx myself faster, than to tell somebody > "I'm going to catch....... <

Now, what "would I like to catch" ? .....or, "what kind of catches would make me feel pretty good about the year" ?

Okay, I can hardly believe that 10 years after I got into this trophy bass thing, I still haven't got 3 double digits in a day ! I know guys that have got 5 or more ! (Troy Folkestad got 9 DD's in one day !)

So just 3, is all I ask.

A 50 lb, 5 fish limit would be pretty cool.... and quite possible on a day with three DD's.

I'd like to get 3, 15 plus bass this year... of course one 19 lb pb would be way better than 3 15's :-)

A new PB Smallmouth would also be great. A high 8 would do it, but a 9 lb plus would be Bombastic :-)

But what I really hope for the most, is just a lot of fun days on the water. So I guess in a nutshell, my goal for 08' is Maximum fun :-)

Peace,

Fish

My whole focus this year is catching a smallie over 5lbs.  We don't really have smallmouth fishing in Georgia, so I'm going to have to make a few trips to accomplish that.

I would love to beat my pb Largemouth, but the only way I see that happening is if I get to go to Cali for my senior trip.

Well, my main goal for '08 is to get out and fish more.  I'm really thinking about some back surgery in June (as soon as school let's out), so that will limit it some weeks after.  Maybe I'll get my Hawg in the spring.

My ultimate goal has always been to catch a 10 pounder.  I would be very happy with another 7+ which I haven't done since 2006.  I've only broke 7 pounds about three or four times in my life, so it's still special to me.

Hmm 08 pb would have to be the fish in fish chris' avatar  ;D ;D ;D. But seeing how i live in nh 5 lber would do the trick for a pb.

My goal for 08 is to catch as largemouth over 6 pounds which I know is possible because I know a spot that has many of these and last year I didn't get to fish it during the best times to fish and I still managed some nice 4 pounders.

For small mouth i'm hoping for 4+ pounds

08 prediction- 6.5+

lifetime- 10

i want to break my PB...it is currently 4.1 lbs...pretty sorry for texas standards...but even more than this, i just want to catch more better sized fish, become a better fishermen.....if i could catch a 2lber every other trip i would be happy...and i want to get a dang boat to improve these chances!!

Cliff

I am not perdicting as much as hoping.  To get a new personal best and also by the end of the year to atleast be compatitive in my first year fishing in club tournaments.

Big LM would be nice......

But I'm looking for a 6 lb Smallie this year. Big goal for me but with the size of smallies that I have been rippin out of my local creek I'm confident that I can meet this goal. Better to put your goals higher IMO.

Get out and fish more.Top my PB largemouth-5 lber.A 6 would do.

Catch a fish on a carolina rig.

I fully expect to get a new personal best this year.

PB is 3.5 lbs.

Goal is 5 to 10 lbs

Life goal is 10+

Day dream is 18lb FL record

28.3 lb largemouth bass from California.

;)

Realistically, largemouth 4-5 lbs, and smallmouth 2-3 lbs (I only fish smallies in rivers and usually only about 2-3 times a year).

The year of 2008

Largemouth 6+

Smallmouth 5+

Spot            5+

Lifetime

Largemouth 10+

Smallmouth 8+

Spot            8+

im pretty confident in a new record this year. actually ive made it my new year's resolution to catch an 8lber. last year my resolution was to catch a 6lber and i ended up with a 7lber during the spawn. so im hopin to get me an 8+ this spawn! :) ;D

the best big fish year i've had was 2005 where i caught 5 over 10 including my 14-2 pb.  if i could do that again, i'd be tickled to death.  as far as lifetime goes, that's difficult.  realistically i've probably already caught the biggest bass i'll ever catch, but that ain't gonna stop me from tryin'.  i'd love to get anything over 14-8.  that'd break the state record. :)
