Smithville Lake is about a 20 mile drive and I store my boat about a mile and a half from a ramp there.  Smaller lakes are about 45 minutes from home.  Truman Lake is two to three hours away depending on if I put in on the West end or the East end.  I also have access to a pond that is about 35 minutes away.

2 min walk to a river with good muskie, pike and bass fishing - no boats though.

There are two launches within 5 minutes of my where my boat is parked and another 5-6 within 45 minutes.

Nearest lake is a 20 minute drive from my boat.

(the problem with all this is my boat is a 2 hour drive from home)

Nearest fishing hole is about 10 min away from me.

Nearest fishing hole that I like to fish is around 40 minutes away.

Lake of Ozarks and Truman are both between 2 and 2-1/2 hours away depending on traffic.

Nearest lake is about 30 min drive, could be less if it weren 't for two inconviniences:

1.- Traffic to exit the city

2.- There 's no paved road from the highway to the lake shore.

10 minutes(7 miles) to the nearest river system,15-20 minutes to the nearest 2 home lakes(Belleville lake & Ford lake),35 minutes to lake Erie,45 minutes to Detroit river,55-1hr minutes to St.Clairs lake.

There's a number of parks that the Huron river connects around here,it a matter of knowing where they are at.I know of 7....I'm sure there's more.

15 minutes to run the TM, 35 minutes to idle, one hour to run WFO.

For the last month I've been driving about 65 miles one way a couple of times a week.

5 minutes from the river where I wade.

To the lake that is way to heavy presured its about a 5 min walk...its really the size of a large pond though. To a good lake its about 30 min. I usually fish a pond that is 20 min from my house. And to the "real" lake its about 45 min...although I dont have a boat I can use on it.

7 Miles to the nearest Lake Erie ramp.

SML - 5 miles  :)

Claytor - 1 hr   :(

Moomaw- 1.5 hrs   :)

Leesville (******!) - 1.75 hrs  >:(

Buggs Island 2.5 hrs  :)

and the best of the best Gaston 3 hrs

Nearest lake = 1.2 miles 1085acre lake.  Lake St.Clair = 60 miles

About the only GOOD thing about being in Michigan is abundance of good fishing and hunting.  Everything else =

I make a 1 hour and 45 minute drive one way (3 1/2 hours total; 220 miles) trip every week atleast once or twice to the lake. I've driven it so much I can tell you from each exit or marker on the road how much longer (almost to the minute) it will take to get there. Got pretty expensive last year when diesel went to almost $5/gallon but I kept doing it anyway.

35 miles to the nearest lake, Lake Pleasant.  This is where I nearly always go. LM,SM,Stripers, Whites, Crappie, Channel and Flathead cats. 5 more lakes within 1 1/2 hours.     Happy fishing.

Been fishing a decent little pond about 5 minutes from the house.  All of the lakes that I fish are about 45 mins to an hour.

When you live in Lake Wales, Florida, you're surrounded by bass waters:

Lake Pierce: 8/10 Mile (1½ minutes)

Lake Marion:       4 Miles (6 minutes)

Lake Hatchineha: 7½ Miles (10 minutes)

Lake Walk-In-Water 18½ Miles (22 minutes)

Lake Kissimmee 19 Miles (23 minutes)

Crooked Lake 21 Miles (26 minutes)

Lake Toho 24 Miles (31 minutes)

I don't fish Toho that much...it's just so darn far away ::)

Roger

this is exactly why i love ohio. (there arent many reasons)

theres a ton of small lakes that hold plenty of fish (lil ones, but still fish)

my normal lake, Sippo Lake (small) is about 5 mins away. plus five for the hike in.

Mogadore Resv. is 25mins.

Atwood Lake is about 35 mins.

and Nobles Pond where i fish occasionally, is about 15mins.
