I didn't know you had videos, that is super.

I was hoping to see you retieve a spinnerbait just "above" the surface. That is a trick i have not mastered, but am working on it. (a custom 350:1 geared baitcaster)... sorry, i had to bust your chops a little..good work and looking forward to more.

I have plenty of spinnerbaits and no idea how to use them effectively.

Thanks for the video Glenn I have a much better idea of what to look for when the baitmonkey bites and just how to fish them as well.

Here are some quick ideas of lumaflex skirts as Glenn mentioned. I have white in bulk if there are people who want to buy them cheap.

Will make them to order.

I have polarflash and flashabou in some colors.

I love spinnerbaits, made me want to go throw one.

I have two questions on this matter that I'll just throw up in here instead of starting a new thread.

I've never tried using a trailer, what are some suggestions on trailer selection?

Also, I noticed Glenn mentioned he prefers to throw a 3/4 ounce spinner bait. I've never seen anything over a 1/2 ounce. Where can you find larger?

Thanks for the info on the spinnerbaits. I love throwing them but i am pretty new to it. Although i have fished alot i normally fish with people who know what they are doing just this summer i am going out on my own just fishing from the banks. i have only been able to catch one so far. These ideas should help alot and hopefully in the next week or so i will post that they REALLY helped. Thanks again.

Yes, my wife Keri.  Idaho***er was behind the camera.  We shot that all in about an hour, and then proceeded to just slay 'em on spinnerbaits, frogs, and Senkos.  We had a blast!

A Glenn, I be the new-by to the forum and like the video.But you had sad one key thing,that sparked a question.The 3/4 once was easier to throw in the wind and all, for practice,as well for a steady pick.My Question is Why use that huge Bladed thing When you could put yourself in targeting mid to large Fish.When simply downsize-in to 1/6 or 1/8once and learn to throw it in all conditions.I myself throw big baits preferred,but their are some that swear by the little stuff.Its easy to throw wait, but do it with a feather, training with something lighter.Then go to the big stuff,with greater accuracy presentation precision ext.

I'm having a hard time understanding your question, but I think you're asking why a big bait vs. a smaller bait.  Aside from the reasons given in the video, I find the underhand casts shown in the video are easier with heavier baits.  Hope that helps!

I think I understand what you are asking. Why use a larger spinner bait than a smaller one?

A larger spinner bait is a much more practical all year presentation. As Glenn said, he only downsizes after spawn. With the larger spinnerbaits you can throw these things through the thickest trees, "Crashing them through" that a smaller weighted spinnerbait would hang up in. I also find it a little easier to slow roll these baits when you are fishing deeper water and you also will ctach all sizes of bass on a 3/4 oz bait.

When we were fishing the 8-12" fish wouldn't keep off them. It was getting so bad by the end of each day we were yelling at the dinks, or reeling in faster before they hooked themselves. It was pretty comical.

Larger baits will attract the mid sized fish just as well as a 1/4-1/2 oz bait will.

Great video, Very informative since I have zero confidence in a spinnerbait. I have not found the right combination of color and blade selection for my home lake. I have found at night with a big single blade bumping the bottom works great, but during the day I can't catch a fish on one. I have had great luck on a rocket shad early in the spring, but not on regular spinnerbaits. Any suggestions?

Kenny, my go-to spinnerbait selection is a 1/2 oz head custom painted chartreuse and green, large willow leaf gold blade, small colorado silver blade , 65 strand 7" white lumaflex skirt with chartreuse and pearl flashabou.

I can make the skirts to order if you are interested.
