Random Stupid Thought For The Day

You can tell, generally, how old a guy is by taking note of he addresses another guy.

Being an old fart, I say "hey, man".

"Dude" came along sometime in the 80's. That unfortunate term has pretty much taken over. I thought, when I first heard it, that this won't last long. I was wrong. You hear it all the time.

A little later, along comes "bro". I thought maybe this will get rid of "dude". No such luck. You hear bro very seldom now.

Recently we have "dog".

I have only one thing to say about that. We started as men and have now become dogs, and we've done it to ourselves.

I suspect the women have known this all along.

Dude, are you bored? :D

Interesting thought you have there brother. I still use bro, homie, and brother. Never was big on dude. It takes a whole lot for me to use or say dude. Maybe I'm just unhip with the new lingo. :(

I use "dudeman". I guess that puts me somewhere in between!

When I first saw it was a post by Ghoti, a thought came to my mind. Then I read the subject line, and thought "You read my mind!"

Different people get different labels from me. Someone I don't know usually gets the "hey man." If you got gold, silver, platinum that you don't need in your mouth and your pants are 5 sizes to big it's "dog" or "homie" If you're inside at night and wearing sunglasses and more than half a bottle of hair gel in your hair it's "bro"

Once again - you and I would get along just fine ~ :)

I've had some good ol' southern boys call me "Cuz".

Not real sure on the spelling there, however I'm fairly certain we went not related.

LOL,you're right. It does sound that way. Actually, being a professor, I'm on one side of the lectern, and the stoners are on the other.
