I don't throw Lucky Crafts for that reason. I have lost WAY to many lures to those darn toothed creatures! I don't have anything against Pike when Im actually fishing for them. But I always think twice before I tie on a high dollar lure now.

I use them in stained water or murky water and it's a pretty consistent color. Also will use them in clear water in choppy conditions where the visibility is less than usual.

Gotta stand up for pike! They are fantastic fighters and grow very big. Here in Colorado we have some of the best pike fishing in the union, lots of 15 - 25 pound fish and occasionally bigger. They grow fat on stocked trout and help thin out the perch in our lakes.

They also eat an outrages amount each day and can wipe out out the bass populations pretty quickly if not maintained.

The main thing is to harvest plenty of small pike and let the bigger pike go. Big pike eat lots of small pike and that is the best way to keep the population under control. When too many big pike are harvested, the population of pike can explode due to lack of predation. Most of our pike lakes around here have decent bass fishing too. The pike eat mostly perch and trout in this state.

Firetiger is also good out here in Cali for trout.

Believe it or not, firetiger works in Houston, Texas where there is no pike or perch. The water was about 2 feet visibility. Riping a trap, yo yoing around, fast retrieving it. I'm still amazed. I keep asking myself why it worked, I guess it really doesn't matter. 

I use it in both clear and stained water. I honestly think it covers forage across the country from having a little bit of perch in it and honestly a lot bit of pumpkinseed in it as well.

Pike, muskie, walleye at the dam wings towards sundown or heavy overcast days.

Never! Haha. Might be a So Cal thing, but I have never even had interest in throwing that color. Natural shad, silverside, trout, BG, craw colors for me with the occasional obnoxious top water color (IE: LC Crack Blue)...

I use firetiger crankbaits all the time.  It doesn't matter what the water clarity is or how sunny it is.  I just have to try the bait to see if the bass want it.

Most non-productive color I have ever used period. I tried them off and on for years and have caught exactly one bass on a firetiger crankbait since 1987.

thats funny. i fish in maryland and pa also and fire tiger is a producer in boyh stainned and clear water for 30 years. just goes to show alot if it has to do with what your confident in.

Firetiger is IMO a must have ...in all lures...

I use fire tiger mainly in stained water. If nothing else is working, I will try it in clear water.

I have caught more fish on a fire tiger spinner bait than any other color spinner bait, to be fair there are a lot of yellow perch in the waters I fish. I don't do a ton of crank bait fishing so I can not really speak to that.

I've used it with varying degrees of success as I normally lean on a more natural hue. My biggest fish on the color was an 18" wiper during a bass tournament digging a DT6 along rip rap in 3 feet or so. I need to throw it more.
