  1. Looks similar to a bait keeper off the old Eagle Claw HP hooks. They work very well.
  2. 5-6 for mono or copoly, 6-7 for flouro, 7-8 for braid. Works for me. 😂
  3. Bandito bug's work fine when you can get them from Ollie's for $1.99. I believe they were supposed to be $2.99 a bag and at that point the price is a little iffy. Full retail pricing? No way! On a side note I ran across a Jon B. video years ago. It had to be one of his first videos on YouTube. It's literally the only time in the last 35 years that I wanted to punch a 13 year old in the face. 😂 Not a fan of any of the other googies either including that Martin kid. Lol. I'm not even sure if Scott is still sponsored by them or not.
  4. Pulled this out of it's porch pond summer home and moved it into the basement aquarium winter home yesterday. If it gets much bigger it might be moving to it's frying pan retirement home! 🤮
  5. Never thought I'd see the day Gary's 3rd biggest fan boy would see the light.💡 I've been waiting ten years to see WRB in a Falcon thread speaking positively about the brand. 😂 J/k. Glad you like your Falcon, Tom.
  6. You'd probably learn pretty quick that you can't afford it and don't have enough time to manage it properly.😂 You'd need a huge tank to keep a bass properly and they require a lot of maintenance. I hear they are extremely messy fish and I believe it. So get a juvenile fish and keep it in a 60 gallon aquarium? What do you do if or when it gets to a pound? You going to eat your pet? In most states it's legal to catch and bring a fish to your private body of water but highly illegal to take a fish from your aquarium or pond and release it into a public body of water no matter where it originally came from. It sounds like a neat idea but in reality, it probably isn't. If you really want a fish that is kind of bass like, get a 60 gallon or larger aquarium, a good filter, a heater, and get an Oscar. The one I had always reminded me of a bass.
  7. Pro mix is good line. Nothing fantastic but cheap and works well. I have it on one of my reels currently. Suffix Tritanium is probably my favorite inexpensive, under the radar nylon line. Strong, cheap, lower stretch for a nylon line, and handles well on a bait caster. Yozuri Hybrid is another very good line but it's a little more mainstream. 😆 Strong, low stretch, and cheap as well. Then again almost all mono or copolymer lines are pretty good anymore.
  8. A new Bass Pro opened by me about 2 years ago. Still haven't stopped in. Lol. A new Academy is going to open in August and I am pretty excited about that.
  9. I never really fished it much so I'm not real sure. If I remember correctly the idea was to use just enough weight to get the legs/flappers working. I think it would work alright but it would most likely come over any thicker vegetation as opposed to through it. It would probably be similar to fishing a toad and letting it drop down into any open pockets. You certainly wouldn't be punching with it. Lol.
  10. Might work great for you, who knows. I never owned one. I remember for a while when they came out they were the greatest value in fishing then all of a sudden, kapoof, they were the worst value in fishing. 😆
  11. Rage rigged is weedless rigged using a weighted swim bait style hook. As far as I remember the term "rage rigged" was coined by a member here named Matt (I believe) a long time ago.
  12. Bucoo lizard dragger 2 is an excellent shorter, (7ft) less expensive frog rod.
  13. I really like the Zoom mag duece as well. Candybug is definitely a go to for me. Junebug would be a close second.
  14. MyKeyBe changed their profile photo
  15. Looks almost just like an Abu Garcia Torno from 25 years ago. Lol. 😂
  16. You might find out you like it. Theoretically the rod should have a better balance point with the handle in front of the reel seat.
