Okuma Gear
I have four Okuma spinning reels and I am not looking for anything else. I love them. The most I payed for one was $80. And that was one of their high end ones.

Revo STX Drag test
We tested them about six months ago and got 18.5lbs out of them. I need 12+ lbs of drag for my jigs. I fish stuff that if you don't turn the fish's head quick and get them out of the mess they are in you will never see them. Try turning a 6lb+ bass's head with a drag set at 4 or 7 pounds. You can't do it.

Scent, Do you Use?
JJ's Magic for me. It's all I use. I get it in clear for when I don't want to change the color of the lure. I also use Maga Strike on my swimbaits.

Check out their HOT DEALS. http://www.campmor.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/CategoryDisplay?categoryId=24504&storeId=226&catalogId=40000000226 They always have good glasses on clearance......Check out their watches to.- Back from my Fork trip
Great fish man. Congrats. One of our advertisers (Sure Life) makes some stuff called Catch and Release. Among many other things it stops the bleeding of gill hooked fish. Just put it in the livewell and treat the water and five minutes later take the fish out and release it. It stops the bleeding almost instantly.- Welcome Rattle Head Baits
I saw is baits at the Classic Expo. I was very impressed. He uses the highest quality swivels, blades and hooks. He realy cares about the quality of his products.- Best polarized sun glasses for fishing?
I was cursed with a very large head. When they say one size fits most. I am not included in that. I had to try on many different brands and styles before I found the ones that fit. That would be my suggestion. Go to Cabelas or BPS or wherever you can and try on as many as you can. Get ones that fit.- Best polarized sun glasses for fishing?
Are you saying you have a small head? I wouldn't get a wire framed pair. You want them to fit closely to your face. You don't want the sun to get behind them. It will make site fishing or seing into the water difficult. I have a pair with an elastic strap instead of ear peices. I love them.- Lake Lanier in GA
I would still hire a guide for a half day if you can. Spotted bass are a different animal all together. They locate on offshore structure and move around a lot due to the blueback Herring in the lake. A guide is almost a must. I can make a phone call to a friend of mine and he can help you get in touch with the best one on the lake. Then you can talk times with him. Speaking of the lake, it is way down due to the two year drought we are having. It is dangerous if you don't know it well. Lanier is also one of the best Stripped Bass lakes in the country. That might be a good idea if you can get away with your dad for a day. There is nothing like getting your arm broke by a 30lb+ freshwater monster.- Polarized Lens Color
I don't just site fish for spawners. I site fish in the shallows almost 10 months out of the year. I use several colors depending on the amount of light. But the best all around site fishing color is Moss Back Green by Solar Bat. I have been using them for three years. And they are awesome. I have let a few of my fishing partners wear them and they wouldn't give them back. I was stuck wearing their Costa-del-mars and some other expensive pair. Amber is great and I used to wear them in low light conditions but I found some yellow ones that are awesome on cloudy days and in the morning.- drop shot weights
When I'm fishing verticle I use a 1/2oz. When I'm casting it out and working it back I go lighter but I never get lighter than 1/4oz.- drop shot weights
I pour some teardrop shaped sinkers for my dropshots. The low center of gravity keeps them down on the bottom better without sturring up to much silt. The pointed top comes through the cover better.- brushpiles

If they don't smoke. They aren't worth a dime.- Lake Lanier in GA
Welcome. Lanier is a tough lake. Are you against hiring a guide?- BEST BOAT TO START MY BASS CONVERSION
A wide, shallow walled, aluminum boat. I like shallow walled boats because they don't become sails in the wind. What boat brands to you have access to?- Watch out for fivebasslimit!
That is awesome. He had to work hard for that one. Way to go 5bass.- New to the forum
- Painting sinkers
I've been spraypainting my lead sinkers for years.- Standout dropshot hooks?
X3 The standout hook is to bulky and reduces the action of a handpoured worm.- What are the top 3 lakes in each state (AL, GA, FL)?
If your talking about the best fishing it would be. Alabama - Guntersville Georgia - Lake Varner Florida - Stickmarsh/Farm 13 - 3rd Annual BassResource.com Roadtrip!!!
