  1. It's a Christmas gift exchange. You sign up and get paired with someone to exchange a "New" gift that has a value not exceeding the limit set. Then purchase and mail the gift out in time for them to get it by Christmas. We've been doing this for a few years now and it's been great.
  2. Did anybody see the two flies that are on JF's tacklebox in the second picture?

  5. Guntersville State Park is your best bet. It's nice.
  6. No, those are his oysters. Keri took them from him when they got married and put them in there for safe keeping and to remind him who's boss.
  7. Welcome to the family.

Check out the Ruger LCP before buying the Keltec for a CCW. I was set on a keltec until a buddy let me shoot the keltec and the LCP side by side. Just a suggestion. Been considering adding a Keltec to my group. Please let me know what you didn't like about it. Two of the guys in my hunting club drive for Brinks, so a good CCW is a must. They both own Keltec pistols and they love them.
  10. Welcome D-Man. I live just across the river from you. I'm from Evans, GA and I fish Clarks Hill a lot. I went out today in the rain and had a blast catching them on a crankbait. Welcome to the family. You will love it here.
  11. This is the best video I've seen on fizzing a bass. (it's in HD) http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-videos/how-to-fizz-a-bass.html

I have a Browning Hi-Power Practical 9mm. I love this gun but I'm about to sell it and get two Kel Tec P-3ATs for CCW. One for me and one for my wife.
  14. A 50/50 mix of vinegar and formula 409. Rinse clean when finished. It will get most of the smell out.
  15. If there is anyone who would like to share the cost of a room please PM me.
  16. Ok, so it comes with right or left hand grip.....BUT, not everyone holds their rod the same. I hold mine almost entirely by the reel seat and others hold it behind the reel. So it just doesn't make since to me how they could make a rod grip like that that will fit everyone's grip style.
  17. Not bad so far. My 8 year old shot his first deer on opening day of rifle season and I've taken a decent 8pt and 5 does so far. I need one more for sausage and I'll call it quits for the season.

  19. If I'm not using live bait then I'm tossing any of an assortment of hand tied jigs. I'm so lucky to be able to fish and guide on perhaps the best trophy bluegill and bass lake in the country. Because of that I get to try out a lot of lures that people bring or mail to us to use. I've grown to love hand tied jigs. I usually tip them with some type of live bait like worms or wax worms. Right now I'm waiting on a package from Jim Gronaw, bluegill writer for In-Fisherman. His reputation as a jig maker is excellent I can't wait to try them out.
  20. I use JJ's Magic.
  21. I've been a serious deer hunter longer than I've been a serious fisherman and it's amazing how they travel/migrate using the same type of structure. It's all about survival and all wild critters have it figured out.
  22. I go shallow...... Very shallow. I start in the very backs of creeks and work my way out. I focus on cover and structure associated with the creek channel or a ditch. Last week if my trolling motor wasn't kicking up mud I was fishing to deep. I was catching all my fish in less than 1 foot of water but still close to the creek channel. As the sun got high the bass just slid into the channel and I started finding them concentrated on the lip of the channel.
  23. Spro Bronzeye Frog.
  24. This is what I use. It can wrap arround small trees or sit on your tackle box. It's great.
