  1. Thanks Brad. I'm going to give that a whirl then.
  2. OOOOOOOOOO...AHHHHHHH!!!!! Love that color! What is it? Thing has colors like some of the creek chubs. Bet that would work great. Can't locate that color though......anyone use the MS Black color? Also what size do you all recommend?
  3. Have a RC 1.5 in Copper Perch but I want another crankbait to compliment that bait. Marty 1.2 or Skeet Mini? Want to go with the MS American shad color. Love christmas time!
  4. Going to pick one up once I get my giftcards. Going to be using it in my favorite smallie creek and also small to large ponds for largemouth. Any other tips I should know when fishing this lure? For example: Line size?

Just got back into bass fishing this past year. Have always been a good plastics fisherman as a teenager and still now. Didn't do ANY cranking this year. Never really had any luck as a kid on billed crankbaits but I use to have a TON of success on traps when I was 13. So...... 1) Get back to traps and spinnerbaits more. (love my plastics but I rely on them too much. Would like to get back to being an allaround fisherman like I was as a kid.) 2) Give lipped crankbaits a good shake this year and catch some quality fish on them. Changed out the hooks on my old Rattle Traps from when I was young. Put some Owner Stinger 36 trebles in red on them. 8-) Hopefully that will give me some added confidence. Not to mention the great hookups I have had with Owner hooks on my plastics this year. Love em!!!

Fat Ika.......really have been toying with different retrieves and styles. They all have produced fish for me. Love how the big ones just THUMP it. Really love to kill it. Buzzbait would probably be second. Getting scared crapless from a fish exploding out of the water is just great. But I only fish them under a couple different situations so thats why it is a second place vote for me. Don't fish them enough.
  7. I used the zoom hooks this past year. Love the screw in at the top. But I'm going to try out my Owner 5/0s on them this year. So I voted for Zoom because they were the only ones I tried.

Avid get me a plane ticket to some warm weather and I would be glad to fish and post a report. Ah good ole NY winters. :'(
  9. *** if there is something wrong with the way this site does business please let me know. They have cheap prices but if there not honest I don't want to be doing business with them. Thanks.
  10. For Senkos and Trick Sticks these are my biggest producers. Senkos: Black/Blue flake, watermeleon black flake, watermelon/white laminate ***: 1) Watermelon Purple Swirl, black blue swirl, watermelon gold flake (my wifes biggest producer). Wave Worm Tiki Sticks: Black/white laminate
  11. I really like www.another site.com for some stuff as well. Cheapest on the net for cavitrons that I can find. edit: must be a site that is prohibited to post.
  12. Before I even got back into fishing this past summer, my winters would be very depressing. Watch football on the weekends but that will be coming to an end soon as well. It's worse this year because I really got back into fishing this year for the first time since I was in high school (10 years ago). So now I'm not only missing the nice weather, landscaping, grilling, and summer sports. But missing fishing as well. Really down in the dumps.
  13. Nice job Glenn. With all changes in life we need to get used to things. Appreciate all you do for the fishing community.
  14. Use both. Started off the year wacky riggin them. But then as the weeds started to claim the surface I went to a t-rig and dragged them across into the pockets. Don't really have a preference. But my biggest senko fish did come off of them being wacky rigged if that matters.
  15. Boy I really love the looks of those. Especially like I said in the other thread....for the shale ledges and such in my smallie creek. Can't wait to use em.
  16. Email sent Bobby. Can't wait to try em out. Especially on the shale rock beds in my smallie creek.
  17. Man some rough water behind you. Fishing from shore with water like that always knocks me off my game. Confidence thing.
  18. Amen brother. 8-) Cavitron 3/8 black/black buzzbait Rapala DT-4 in baby bass falcon weighted hooks 3/32 size Owner Trebles Heddon Tiny Torpedo Zoom Shakey Worms I'll be getting all this stuff with cash that I receive for Christmas. Most of it has to be bought online.
  19. This past summer it was a 5" Trick Stick - Watermelon purple swirl. Once early fall hit it was definately a Green Pumpkin/Black Flake GYCB Fat Ika. Jigging it off the bottom slowly.
  20. Agreed. Start with the 7" power worm lineup (black with chartruse tail) Rig it weightless and burn it like a spinnerbait. Also try fishing it like a jerkbait. (few jerks than pause and let it sink a bit) That's how I started fishing plastics as a teenager and had great results in the creeks and ponds. I didn't start fishing plastic worms on the bottom until this year because I had such success fishing them weightless in the upper water column. Give that whirl! Than move onto other plastics after you have mastered the worm. Work on one style of bait at a time. That's what I did with the plastics and now I'm confident in fishing almost all of them. Now crankbaits are going to be something that I will be turning to this year and trying to master.

  22. Praying for you and your family man. The Lord is the Great Healer.........look to Him and give everything to Him during this time. He will take care of you. That is a promise straight from Him.
  23. Worms will do the trick. Or small pieces of lunch meat...corn...whatever lol. Anything that will fit into there little mouths. ;D
