  1. WOW! I did a google search on the company and there are an insane number of complaints.
  2. I have a 15' Tracker Grizzly. 1548 all welded, long transom (same as the 14' 1448, only a foot longer). I have a Mercury 15 hp 4-stroke. I have a Minn Kota 50# thrust Power Drive on the front. I put a floor, carpet, lights, electronics, etc on it. It was just a shell when I got it. I bought a 9.9 hp 4-stroke but it wouldn't plane on 9.9. Even with all the stuff I've added to it, it planes very well with my 15 hp. Here are before and after shots. The first is the day I brought it home. (I bought a 50# thrust transom electric motor for electric-only lakes.) The second is after all my mods. In fact, I've done more to it. I removed that stupid rear seat, reinforced and carpeted the rear bench. And replaced the front seat with an adjustable height bicycle type seat. I like the Tracker Grizzly line. They have thick hulls, a lifetime warranty, and they ride well. I would love a big bass boat, but on the waters I fish I find my boat is perfect.
  3. I've sprayed some bullet weights with black, gloss rustoleum. In fact, I only use the ones I've painted. It holds up very well. No primer needed.
  4. I see a a big future for you! Wonder how that bait would be as a lipless???? Anyway, here, I made this for you...
  5. Hope you can get them. I ordered a bunch of DD22s and Deep Ns from TW just after Christmas. I got all but three of them. I am now on my 5th backorder for the 3 I haven't gotten. Projected mailing date in 2/27. By then, it will have been 2 months since I placed the order.
  6. Either one would be fine. There is very little performance difference between the STX and SX - such that you will probably never notice it under normal fishing conditions.
  7. You're going to get all kinds of advice. I'm not going to give you any. I've been married for 19 years and I still don't know how. All I can say is I'm rooting for you. And that "angry sex" can be pretty good, too.
  8. Those are gorgeous. I'd love to try that sometime.
  9. Read Yo-Zuri's website. It's pretty good at explaining Hybrid. http://www.yo-zuri.com/Products/ProdLine/Hybrid.htm Yo-Zuri is only a little stiffer than mono. It has much less stretch. It has good abrasion resistance. It is stronger than its rated test. It's only a little more expensive than mono. All in all, its an excellent line.
  10. The GT66M is Medium/Fast. That's what the Fenwick site says. It's wrong. They have the actions for the GT66MH and the GT66M switched.
  11. http://www.okumafishingteam.com/RODS/conventional/C3.html I got to see these for the first time in person today. My first impression is they seemed heavy. Rarely do I pick up a rod and immediately think, "wow, that's kinda heavy." But that's what I thought. Other than that, these are some sweet looking rods. The blanks seem very thin. Reminds me of an antenna with guides. But the rods were fantastic looking. The grips are some kind of graphite with a rough finish. Very durable looking. The blanks were pea-green. Nice winding checks where they should be. And a nice, high-end looking buttcap. Curious is anyone has tried them and can say how they fish?
  12. It's on a Fenwick HMG GT66M (6'6" Medium/Moderate Fast).
  13. This is gonna be my last one. I swear it. I'll be putting some Revos on the Flea Market page soon.
  14. Did your thread get moved? If so, this is the "other fish species" forum. So it seems appropriate here. As far us upsetting anyone, I'm certainly not upset. I don't see any posts that would suggest anyone's upset. I happen to enjoy your posts and the pictures of the exotics you catch.
  15. Don't you risk a ticket fishing in the neighborhood koi pond? Nice fish.
  16. Not as many as you, but here's my booty for today...

Chug Bug rocks. One of the best topwaters ever. I have a bunch os 3/8 oz. I have some chrome with a blue back and some frog patterns. I've caught bass at midday on the chrome/blue chug.
  18. I can't speak to the Falcon, but it seems like a very nice rod. I have two Team All Stars. I like these very much. I have a 6'6" MH/F worm rod which is fairly light and very sensitive. I also have a 6'8" MH/F spinnerbait rod that has a relatively soft tip that is a good rod for various techniques.
  19. Man, this was a depressing thread. Hopefully, your lakes will continue to fill and folks will start to manage them appropriately.
  20. The special effects and the cinematography sucked. But I can watch that movie over and over and never get tired of it. I think its time for a 21st century, high-tech remake.
  21. She slept with the chimp, and cuddled with it "in the bed they shared." It ate the finest foods and drank wine from longstem glasses. She let it brush her hair every night. They bathed together. Something don't see quite right about all that.
  22. The lures themselves actually look pretty nice. But I think the light thingy is a gimmick.
