  1. I just checked. They are riveted.
  2. I'd pick the Zillion. Yes, it's heavier. But that's the only disadvantage, IMO. The Zillion is gorgeous, and is as smooth as any reel I've ever cranked.
  3. The 75 size has been productive for me.
  4. They'd look great on a green rod, especially if it had some leaves on it. Spooled with some camo line. Man, that's stealth.
  5. I was hoping that they would do as they said. I've used Rat-L-Traps forever. It's still one of the best lipless baits ever. IMO, this is the sort of customer support that keeps a business going for a long, long time.
  6. No idea of the story behind these. Interesting paint job, though.
  7. Stringjam posted something on them recently, IIRC.
  8. If they knew who I was, they wouldn't have bothered.
  9. BPS does not carry them last time I checked. They carry the 7.3:1, 7.1:1 and the 6.3:1 but not the 4.9:1. I ordered this one from Tackle Warehouse.
  10. Fish with it? I was just going to fondle it for awhile. Maybe take it out to dinner. You know, make it my main squeeze.
  11. x3 on the EXT Pro. Excellent reel. If you want low profile performance and versatility in a round reel, the EXT Pro is great.
  12. Mmmm. It tastes exactly the way I hoped it would.

That's what she says whenever you buy a couple of Lucky Craft.
  14. I like that movie, too. "I thought I'd take a chance and hire the smart fat girl." Hahahahaha
  15. "You've Got Mail." I like that movie.

That's what I do. My wife loves the way I listen to her. Little does she know that's my standard response to just about any noise she makes.
  17. Gorgeous fish, Wayne.
  18. Rat-L-Trap delivers. You may remember the issue I posted and the photo. I had purchased a few Rat-L-Traps that had some problems. One had a crack on the seam on the bottom. One still had tacky paint. A couple of others some minor defects. All in all, I had 4 that were not up to par. I e-mailed Rat-L-Trap with my concerns and was told they would be replaced. Today, I got 6 replacements in the mail, 3 firetiger and 3 chrome. I also got a current catalog, and a note from Everett Gill (Production Manager) that read, "Sorry, we had a foul up in getting the replacement lures. If you have any problems, please let me know." These lures are perfect. Now that's outstanding customer service. Thanks, Rat-L-Trap.
  19. Abu Garcia makes fine products. I own seven Revos (have owned 10), other round Abu Garcias, and several spinning reels, including four of the Cardinal 800 series. They are great reels. Durable, smooth and full of performance.
  20. Thought this was interesting. Hope it means Megabass prices will get more reasonable. http://www.tackletour.com/news2009DaiwaMegabass2-9-09.html
  21. How about Virginia? There are Northern in Occoquan Reservoir in Fairfax County http://www.dgif.virginia.gov/fishing/waterbodies/display.asp?id=97
  22. Nice fishing rig, too, Robchoi. I'm curious as to how you dress when you kayak fish when the water is cold. I can't tell what you are wearing. Is that a dry suit?
  23. I had to word the title very carefully! It's a family site . What RW posted (George Welcome's words) also make sense. I've baitcast so long that cranking one with my left hand seems bizarre. So I'm pretty intent on staying on the traditional course. But I can make more precise movements with my right hand. I think jerking a bait requires that quick, snappy movement that always seems mushy with my left hand. Look at how a jerkbait reacts in the water when you snap it, and when you just accelerate it.
  24. I use a Fenwick HMG 6'6" M (GT66M). It's a great rod for mid sized cranks and lipless.
